Prior to my operation I had a 4 day stay in ward 2A. After my operation I was in ward 2B. All of the staff at TPCH were caring and attentive and I recommend this health facility highly.

Today the 7/03/023, my friend asked me to be with her while she was on her appointments in the respiratory department, and straight off there was help from beginning to the end..
We started off seeing Hadla Obeid, who immediately put my friend at ease and beautifully helped her through all the procedure that she had to go through with her breathing tests.. My friend could not have got a more calming and lovely lady to be there for her.
Then we went for the report to see Dr Laim Kichs where again we were exceptionally impressed. He again explained in easy terms what was going on and how things worked. If all Drs were like that, people would be much happier with the medical profession and more trusting of them.
Thank you once again Prince Charles Hospital for making sure that the professionals there are so caring and of good quality.

Just a few years ago, I had nothing but praise for the Prince Charles hospital and knowing that most people only complain, I had written about 4 fantastic reviews accordingly after each of my visits. HOWEVER, today, a friend of mine went in by ambulance about 10.30, (fantastic Ambulance people), and she was given a bed fairly quickly, some time later she was talking to a friend on the phone saying that she is so desperate to go to the toilet and can't get attention for someone to take her, and this friend rang me and I rang the emergency section to try to ask them to please take her to the toilet. Unfortunately it rang for 20 min before it was answered. NOW, this is not the nurse's/staff's fault, as they are more than likely flat out. This is the governments' fault and I have only put this in the review section because Prince Charles used to have a fantastic reputation, but I am now hearing others complaining. One friend was telling me that in the many hrs he was there that he only saw 2 Australian nurses. Most people do not mind having people from other countries nursing them either, but not when they can't understand some of them and there are just so many. Perhaps the Government might be wiser than pulling professionals away from other countries, to start using the money that they use on bring outsiders into Australia and housing them etc, on training more of our own Australians.

I am writing this today about a nurse in short stay tamika I really like the attitude she has towards patients and she made me feel so much better being there. Well done Tamika for your great work and hope u get reckoning for it. People like u are wat make patients feel better when there in a rough place. Well done again. Plz pass this on to Tamika. And the treatment I received from all the staff from coming in an ambulance to going to short stay were wonderful. They tried to get me a bed upstairs but they were all full so stayed in short stay all night. Was treated the best I have ever received

I have been in Prince Charles about 4 times, as has my husband, and both of us have absolute praise for the nurses, drs and specialists, but I am concerned to see some of the nursing staff in Zillmere in their uniforms, or turning up at the hospital already in their uniforms. As a young nurse 50 years ago, there was absolutely NO way that were we allowed to wear our uniforms outside the hospital, let alone shopping with them on before work. It all had to do with bringing germs, virus's etc to work on our clothing, thus for the sake of the patient, (especially those who had been operated on), exceptionally high hygiene was enforced, and nurses going shopping before work in their uniforms does not do that. But, back then, the matron would go around with a white glove on and using her finger, she would check for dust above doors, windows and other areas, thus reducing the places for unwanted dangers to grow. If you do this in todays hospitals, your finger is black with dust and dirt, I have tried it.
