Speaks very fast, I had difficulty in understanding him, he seems fairly knowledgable, but in comparison to other doctors I have seen in the past, not so much as I would have liked, did not feel completely and fully taken care of, always felt things were left out and forgoten, did not like having to call back to remind of things forgotten. It is impossible to get a nurse on the phone first call and wait for at the fastest, half a day for return call, but often was forgotten, sometimes right before a weekend, so communication is a problem. I could get thru to appointments fast, but if I asked a questions regarding anything else would be put over to a answereing service before I finsihed my call with the appointments, so would have to call back. Communication was a big problem in more than just with the doctor himslelf. Also, his patents must see the other doctor there w/o choice.

I was in ER and hospital staff called this dr. several times about an RX he wrote, but he would not respond…when my spouse called his office he was there but his staff was rude and would only take a message, dr. trehan never called hospital back….needless to say I changed to a different primary doctor

Any dr who turns away patients because they have medicaide as a secondary or third part insurance after treating that patient for years ( per thier Office staff) let alone a person who is under full coverage insurance through medicare insurance but has medicade as secondary is less than an acceptable primary care provider. Under licencing laws as a doctor you are to care for any patient you have previousely accepted as a patient reguardless of secondary insurances this doctor’s action to those whom were his patients and then suddenly dropped due to thier secondary or third layer insurance being medicade shows he has no concern for anything but money and that the patient shall always come last. this Doctor is at the very least negligent in his duties to his patients he suddenly dropped. He should be dismissed as a doctor in any form by the medical association. I have notified my insurances to drop him as a primary care physician due to his actions violating thier codes.

This doctor will not take your symptoms seriously. If you complain of symptoms that are not evidenced by lab results, he will tell you it is all in your head and that you are self diagnosing. He will be come irate and hostile if you question him or suggest a possible course of action when he tells you there is nothing else that can be done for you. If you do not quickly make improvement when he treats symptoms, he gives up and tries to convince you the symptoms are the result of anxiety and that you need therapy. He has a pattern of not coming in to see you during hospital rounds unless you are alone. If family members voice questions or concerns, he becomes rude and aggressive toward them and tells them to leave the room.

Dr is excellent but the staff and his nurse wont do a PA and the words of the nurse are " I don't have time for that and that's not my job. You need to call the insurance and do it"! The staff is lazy and not helpful at all. I would be embarrassed to have a staff working for me like that.
