My sister had a brain haemorrhage and spent 8 weeks in C7 ward. Ahmed and the multidisciplinary team who treated her were wonderful. I could not fault them despite huge workloads, and an under funded medical system. I was so impressed with the teams care, communication with family and medical expertise.

Went there in drastic pain which ends up being life threatening. October 2023. Doctor never smiled once did not ask appropriate questions did not do a proper examination. Said I had to leave as others needed him. I asked him if I should see a doctor and he ignored me. He was awful rude and looked like he had hate for something. He made me feel like an idiot. I am 63 year old woman who never gets sick and have never been a burden. I am so I'll now and so scared to go back as they left a lady for 6 hours in emergency with cardio with 6 year old daughter. The lady died in front of daughter. My friend was there to witness it all. Then they treated her like a ? Dog. And she also was in a critical condition but was also asked to leave. Why do they hate people coming to the emergency room.

Reading the other reviews I am not surprised. Stay away from Lismore base if you want to live. The nurses are OK but the doctors are incompetent and dont listen. Poor patient care. My discharge summary had recorded false information. Rather than be honest and communicate that they don't know, they lie and mislead you. They may have academic smarts, but the doctors fall short in applying what they've learned to a real human being in a clinical setting. The place needs a review or to be shut down.

Lismore Base lied to me and changed my discharge summary. I had a CT in December which showed a 7cm mass on my right ovary. The ultrasound report was two complex haemorrhagic cysts one 4.4cm the other 3.7cm on my enlarged 82cc right ovary compared to my left 5.8cc ovary. In January I had a thyroid ultrasound which showed new tumours including right thyroid, Left submandibular lymph node and right parotid lymph node. I read on my report that I was under investigation for metastasis due to the lymph node tumours. I did not receive a lymph node biopsy prior to surgery and I did not receive a colposcopy which my altered discharge states I was booked for. I only had laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. I was told they were only chocolate stats due to endometriosis and now I'm being told there is nothing wrong with my endometrial lining and I'm being refused full body scans and biopsies. I have never had a full body scan and only one of my lymph node tumours had a biopsy in 2019 and the result is âpendingâ. It is 2021 how can something be pending for that long. These doctors lie to your face and would rather cover up a mistake than save a life. It breaks my heart please stay away

This place LITERALLY tried to kill me. I was kept for eleven days with a total bowel blockage from an old appendectomy adhesion and given no treatment other than pain killers. A bowel rupture and fatal peritonitis was apparently only hours away when a visiting doctor just happened to look into my case and saw the immediate danger. He at once rescued me to St Vincents and operated immediately. I thank him for my life. Lismore Base did nothing other than tell me several times that I could go home if I liked! It is very hard to recommend this place at all....specially their triage process in Emergency if you just happen to be old, white and male.
