I went to emergency with a kidney stone and in severe pain. Within 15 minutes I had been admitted, IV started, ultrasoound done, given analgesic. Within an hour, I had completed the entire workup including CT scan. I was discharged when my pain was bearable with enough medication to carry me til the morning and with perscriptions referrals and advice. I was so impressed and so grateful to the doctors and nurses. Even tho my stretcher was in the hallway the care was the best.

I’m sure I had same staff at administration as person from Alberta. I went to this absolute dump of a hospital November 2019. The experience I had is very similar to most negative comments in here. For those of you who were treated like âfamilyâ well, too hard to believe. It wasn’t the 8 hour wait I had , as I expected a long wait. The staff from admin to the nurses that evening were monsters!! The doctor was excellent and when I was finally able to leave, I had to remind the doctor there was a tube full of blood in my arm and so she said for me to go back into that side room (torture chamber) and she would get the nurse to take it out. She asked whatever her name was and I looked at the Doctor and said, âdon’t you let that thing come near me. She will not touch me. â. The doctor saw how serious I was. I have never in my entire life been treated like less then a pile of s@it as was by this nurse and a dark skinned male nurse on duty that night. The doctor got me a different male nurse and I nearly burst into tears with relief that nurses still have compassion⦠he was a gem. The other two I hope are out of that place because for anyone to say they had such a great experience with the nurse staffâ¦.can’t even believe it for a second. And to the incredibly rude woman behind that glass⦠get off your cell phone and work! Learn to respect clients/patients and not yell at them!! You didn’t see me coming did ya?!? I yelled right back at you!! I called you out for the rude person you are!! Guess that’s why the rest of my evening, unbeknownst to me was about to be hell. I told my husband when I returned home (15 mins by cab) if I should ever need ER again , I will NEVER EVER step foot in that hell hole again!! The cab driver told me this place is known as the worst and to go to Hawkesbury!!

I went to the Lakeshore ER and am from Alberta. The lady at the front, Antonietta Sportella, was incredibly rude towards me and had an incredibly bad attitude. She would raise her voice at me and other patients. She told me that I was lying that my Alberta health card had no expiry date, that my insurance from Alberta was invalid, and that it would be ridiculous if I were to try to submit a claim for the expenses of my visit at the ER. She had me email copies of my alberta health card to her which is why I have her name. She had me wait an additional 45 minutes while she tried figuring out what to do with my Alberta insurance, and then gave up and closed her station. I was automatically referred to the other lady at the front who was so much nicer.

Go to the emerge, with pneumonia. Get stuck in the isolation room due to the symptoms, with another person who has covid. Fantastic,
See the doctor, leave go home. few days later I come back with a very bad fever, not knowing I had covid.
Get told I had covid, to come back if it worsens. Go back because it worsened, and get told to go home because I had covid and to ride it out.
So I got covid from going there, being in contact with this lady who had covid.
But then get told to go home because I had covid, yet this lady was there with covid? Nothing makes sense.
