Don’t get ill in Hinton -service is next to none!
The would not believe that wasp bites were partially to blame for my breathing! Thought I was in panic-mode – eventually took the medi-plane to Edmonton and because of Hinton Dr. and staff not paying any attention to this critical situation, I ended up needing a tracheotomy and spent 8 days in Edmonton desperately breathing for air. Dr. In Edmonton said I waited too long!!
Thanks Hinton Hospital for not taking this situation more seriouslyj

Me and I my friend went to the hospital the next day after we suspected that we may have been roofied. It hadn’t even been 24 hours yet and they told us that there’s nothing they could do and to go home. Didn’t ask us a single question. We were there for maybe five minutes and then sent home. Hinton health care is a joke.

Doctor was very rude, and was caught actually lying to another health care facility on the phone regarding the status of my father’s heart condition, which caused his surgery to be put off, even though he was in a lot of pain, and could suffer a heart attack.

Some staff are rude and very uncaring . When patients go to a hospital it’s because they are sick or need medical attention . People should be treated with respect that does not always happen at this hospital. I have been a long time resident of Hinton 30 years and have been to this hospital many times myself and for family and must say it is not a friendly or nice place to be as it once was . Too bad

I like the staff for outpatient services. I was an inpatient for surgery and was fortunate to leave after 2 days. My dirty sheets were changed only when finally asked and I largely did it myself. Bathroom had soiled items from another patient left for a day. I asked that it be cleaned up. I was awoken my second night by an elderly patient with signs of dementia as they had gotten out of bed and were holding onto mine to not fall. I would not want to stay again.

I went to a Hinton a hospital Sept 20 with acute pain in my abdomen and vomiting. I was rushed strait into an examining room before my hubby even parked the truck. They phoned the doctor to come in and meanwhile I was given a pain killer and gravol. Several tests done - diagnosed with gallbladder. Thank you staff and the doctor who was in ( sorry, didn't get his name). Hospital wait times in ER in Edmonton are sometimes 9.5 hours. So nice to be seen right away. Big thanks to all who worked on the 20 th.

This is my hometown hospital where my daughter, age 5 now, and myself, age 32 now, we're both born. I cannot believe how they violated me in recent years, simply because I suddenly became extremely vulnerable and alone when my baby daddy stole my daughter, sight unseen, from my shared, primary care, after I was already sick, disowned and thrown to the f*in streets. I won't forget the rape by needled, lies, bullying and obvious wrong treatment all around. Cold. Indeed.

Dr. Sorenson was awesome, right on our top of our situation . She was very comforting and encouraging. The staff were great and the dialysis unit were awesome. Appreciated all that was done for my husband. The cleaning could improve.

Great hospital with a great staff. There is a few rude nurses, but the majority of them are great.
