I was here 4 months, and in that time I met lots of nice people who work here. I even became friends with the staff. They bring me flowers and talk with me. I reccoment this place for its nice people!

When I came to Kindred from Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Plasic Surgeons we’re exploring the possibility of skin grafts. However wound care at Kindred was working so well that is no longer necessary. Rebekah, the wound care coordinator, was so patient with me when I had pain n the tender areas. She and the RN Sherrise were very skillful.

I appreciate all the care and the general caring attitude of the staff at first hill. They helped me make good progress, treated me with respect and just really cared. I’m happy to move forward with rebab at the next facility but I will really miss everyone here!

The nursing staff did an excellent job tending to my everyday needs, always treating me well. I would like to give a shout out to rehab team – Brian, Erin and Alyssa and the female doctor who worked with them, they all worked hard to get me back on my feet!

I have no complaints about being here. I was very well taken care of by the staff; I hand-wrote letters to my caregivers telling them how much I appreciate and love them! If it were not for distance to family I would love to stay here and continue my recovery. My only disappointment was that I experienced physical barriers to participating in physical therapy. This was an unfortunate circumstance of my health status and does not reflect the rehab teams ability. Thank you to everyone !

In the several months that I have been here I have a good experience. I've had my ups and downs with some good days and some bad days, but this place has been pretty good. I wouldn't want anyone I know to have to stay in a hospital as long as I did but if they had to I would recommend coming here.

I came to Seattle to another hospital to have my foot looked at. In that hospital I slipped into a coma. When I woke up I had partial paralysis and my foot was worse with the possibility of amputation. After a few days I was transfers to Kindred First Hill. In the span of a couple of weeks I have made great progress. With the help of the Rehab department I have been able to transfer to a wheelchair, move around on my own, have feeling in my hands again and working on getting memory back. I have learned a lot from those therapists! I am on my way to making a turn around with my foot , wound care here has helped save it. I truly believe if if were not for Kindred I would be much worse off or even dead. The staff has been excellent, working very hard to get me better. Everyone goes out of their way to make me comfortable, and I appreciate all of them!
