Dr. Austen was absolutely wonderful to deal with. He is very pleasant and easy to talk to and answered all my questions .I am very pleased with my surgery, everything went very well. Just love him!!!

Terrible doctor! Didn’t tell me about information pertaining to the surgery and was extremely rude! I had the patient beside me say how rude he was. Multiple doctors and nurses agreed with me and appeared to have zero respect for this doctor.

Dr. Austen is an excellent surgeon. He is very skilled. Dr. Austen repaired an inguinal hernia for me June 27, 2017 at Rocky View Hospital. It was a recurrence of an inguinal hernia of 6 years before, in the same site. The new surgical repair is holding up fine now, after 21 months. I am pain free. Thank you Dr. Austen! Now that Dr. Robert Lui is retiring, I think we can also say that Dr. Austen is now the best hernia surgeon in Alberta.

Although my time was short with Dr. Austen I am extremely impressed with him, polite, professional, knowledgeable, surgery and recovery was better than I ever expected. He truly cares about his patients and you can tell he loves what he does, even the nurses at RGH told me how much he was liked.
