It just occured to me that I have been a patient of Dr. Hitchcock's for 28 yrs.; over half my life! I am so grateful to have a good doctor like her who not only is knowledgable but who also "gets" me. I can't say enough about how lucky I consider myself and like the other raters said, hope she doesn't retire for a while.

Dr. Hitchcock has been my doctor for over 20 years. She has been extremely supportive over the years including the last 4 when I have been battling cancer. She saw me through my one and only pregnancy but didn’t deliver my baby as it was an emergency C-section. She is kind, friendly and never rushes you in an appointment. She is the only family doctor that I have seen since moving to Calgary and I thank the company doctor at that time who recommended her. My family has been so fortunate having her for our doctor.

Dr. Hitchcock came very highly recommended. She assisted me with my first pregnancy and I only saw her three time out of 9 appointments. I never saw her during my labor or C section. I found her to be very rude and condescending. In fact I found her to have made a few tests stressful as she only seemed to emphasize the worst case scenarios. I found her to also be extremely rude to my husband for simply asking questions. The substitute doctors during her absences were fine but kept refering to her for future visits, so it all seemed temporary. My only explanation for all this behaviour is that she is ready for retirement. Lastly and sadly, she never followed up with after the birth of my son. I am not sure why I had her as a Dr. because I am not sure what her role was other than scheduling me for a couple of tests, monitoring my weight and refering me to substitute Dr’s. A very impersonal experience.

I have been going to Dr. Hitchcock for over 25 years, through 2 pregnancies, 4 misscarriages, and a scare with breast cancer. I can’t imagine going to any other Dr. She takes her time with you during appointments and is very thorough. I don’t know what I will do when she retires.

Dr. Hitchcock wasn’t supposed to work the night my wife went into labour. She came in to the hospital in the middle of the night and took charge of a delivery with complications. Mom and daughter did just fine. We are forever grateful to her! She is an absolute professional with great compassion. My wife has been with her since she was a teenager and we can’t consider taking our daughter to any other doctor.

Dr Hitchcock was my moms doctor during her pregnancy with my twin sister and I, my little sister, my son and is about to be my doctor with my baby I just found out I was expecting. She has also been a great family doctor for my entire life. I don’t know what doctor I will use when she retires! I always hate when she is on vacation! She’s a great doctor and I love seeing her even though she works VERY far from me. Great lady
