I have a joint disease. Dr. Snymman insisted it was rheumatoid arthritis but did not follow procedure and send me to a specialist, nor he pursue aggressive treatment. When i did finally see a specialist Dr. Snymman disagreed with the Not RA assessment and basically told me that it was my responsibility to get my blood tested until it proved I had RA. I have since seen another specialist who agrees I don't have RA and is looking into other diseases. More disturbing is that i was placed on a drug that I could not discontinue and I could not get a hold of my doctor when I began to experience psychosis. I reported my adverse reaction back to him when i finally saw him again. Then at my next appointment not only had he forgotten/ failed to write down my adverse reaction but he had no knowledge of the type and form of dose he had given me nor did he note that it had been ineffectual. All in all the experience was rather disturbing. He and his staff were friendly though.

One of the best family doctors I’ve come across. He is knowledgeable, thorough & takes the time to listen to everything you have to say. My diabetes is finally under control with him & other issues are also dealt with on a timely basis.

I went to this Dr. for Thyroid and Fibromyalgia. I found him to be very non empathetic, emotionally not present and very free at handing out prescriptions. He convinced me to have a flu shot, not unlike most doctors, but when it resulted in GBS, he did NOT come to the hospital. Nor did I ever hear from him once transferred to the U of A, PARALYZED and on a respirator. I was there for over a year. Then being returned to the Camrose hospital to await getting into the Glenrose Rehab Hospital, still nothing! I realize this is just a job, but I am NOT just a means to a paycheck, I am a human being, and a kind word would have meant a lot! In my opinion, I do not believe he cared if I were dead or alive. Perhaps, just perhaps, if he had come to the hospital in the beginning, he could have aided in the diagnosis and I would NOT be in a wheelchair today, nearly 5 years later! Just my opinion! Big on diabetes, too bad I didn’t have that!

Should not be a family doctor or doctor in any matter, does not provide any help to any problems I’ve had. Basically says to suck it up and figure it out yourself
