My son has been on Vyvanse for the last 2 year and one of the side affects is weight loss because the medication suppresses his appearance. As a parent, I would never know this. I finally noticed my son’s close started becoming loose. We have had 4 appointments since starting the medication and Fluke never discussed the potential weight loss or even checked my son’s weight to see if he was losing weight. We will not be seeing Fluke anymore and will file a formal complaint.

He sees my mom and I finally decided to come to an appointment because my mom is starting to take a lot of pills. He doesn’t remember or even know some of the bladder incontinence medications my mom is on. The side affects are bad and he again didn’t seem to know much about my mom’s medications. This is unacceptable.

I have been taking my 78 year old dad to see flook for almost 4 years now, and I have to say that he NEVER remembers what medication he started, what specialist he referred my dad to, or even the fact that my dad has been waiting almost 2 years for a hip replacement surgery. He stares at the computer and just say he wants to follow up in a month?! I am honestly flabbergasted that this individual practices medicine?! He seems clueless!

My dad has been seeing him for a few years and on a few occasions he will send my dad to the hospital for pretty minor things. Once he had a cough and was worried about pneumonia, but my dad was totally fine. The other time my dad was constipated and flook thought it was appendicitis. Turned out it was constipation. I spoke with the ER doctors at the hospital and they said that flook tends to do that often. I understand being cautious, but you have to have some judgement. Its a hassle for an older guy waiting in the emergency room for hours. My dad wants to find another doctor, which I agree with.

I am nurse, so I have lots of experience with doctors and he just rubs me the wrong way. I don’t expect to know everything, but at least remember what medications you started me on. He had the wrong chart open and was telling me he was not sure why birth control pills would be giving worsening anxiety. Finally, I told him I am not on birth control pills and that I was referring to my cipralex. Edmonton really needs more doctors, because this guy cannot be the best there is.

Great doctor! I’m grateful that Dr. Flook has been doing telephone appointments where possible since the pandemic began.

Dr Flook is the most excellent, knowledgeable and compassionate family physician. We couldn’t ask for a better or more professional family doctor. He is excellent at teaching patients how to maintain health and manage symptoms. If something is beyond the scope of family medicine, he is takes the time to refer patients for specialist care. He is attentive and always follows up on test results and referrals to ensure resolution of concerns. We feel very fortunate to be under his care!

So incredibly condescending! Let's get you seen by a dermatologist. Let's get you seen by a pulmonary doctor. Let's get you seen by a heart doctor. Does he do anything himself? He's always wanting to follow up in a month. He should learn how to manage the problems currently and by himself. Seems like he lacks confidence and competency.

He is friendly and always seems to have time for all of my concerns, but never seems to remember or look up what we talked about at the last visit. Often makes the same suggestions at follow up appointments. He wants frequent follow ups even for long term medications - he rarely gives me more than 3 months at a time.

He was not good at all! He walks in with laptop and barely even looked at me or my mother. He always says let's see you again a couple of weeks, in the mean time He just googles what medicine to use. I'm never seeing Mr. Flook again!! Lesson to you all
