Dr. Ackerman is a very experienced and busy doctor. The stress shows in some of her impatience towards questions but when you persists she understands that you are advocating for your health. Eight years on, she still shows up when I call her and I am in crisis. Her distinction is that she cares and has the determination to see you through. She saved my life and maintains interest in my well being. I am so thankful that she took my case.

She is one of the best Dr I have ever met at Sunnybrook Hospital. I really appreaciate her honesty. I wish her well with the retirement. Surely will miss her ☺

Dr. Ackerman is the most impressive physician I have ever met, and I work in the field. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, humorous and unfailingly honest. She is very busy but gives her full attention to the patients she is with: she is not watching her watch. She gave my wife life-saving advice in a manner that no one else had been able to do. I imagine she has hard a difficult life because of her own ailments, but I suspect that has given a deep well of wisdom to draw from.

Dr. Ackerman took over the patients of my doctor who left the country for another position. Dr. Ackerman couldn't even be bothered to come and see me after 1 hour wait she sent in her fellow doctor and basically he discharged me because I had already been followed for my illness for 8 years. Great doctor NOT!!

Dr. Ackerman is v. good at traditional medicine but won’t even consider alternative treatments. She safed my life but yelled at me when I suggested alternative tests. I was very serious and the treatment could cause life threatening disease later but she raised her voice. Not professional and reduced my respect for her. She has no patience for questions so her treatment are one sided. All of this and I am a stellar patient. I have done unbelievably well. Of course my alternative treatments are still ignored. If you are referred, go but do your home work and persist in your questions. It’s your life!

Dr. Ackerman saved my life…she is a wonderful doctor and deeply cares for her patients…if there were more doctors like her out there the world would be a much better place. I look so forward to my 6 month appointments just to see her and her staff…Wonderful, wonderful people…I travel a very long way and do not mind one bit…Thank you Dr. Ackerman for all you do for so many.
