helped me was the best surgeon ever I had been through multiple surgery so one after another Then I got Dr. fletcher was on the case checking everything yes I had to have a couple more surgeries but he was amazing kind caring, he checked me very close, it has been a few months but if I ever need to see him he is right there I would recommend him

It was a simple routine laproscopic surgery he said. Well, it's been three months in an ICU at the U of A as the surgeons here fix the mistakes that Dr. Fletcher has left my dad with. We found out when we got to the U of A hospital that it happens quite often that patients are sent to them after mistakes are made from surgeons in smaller communities. DO NOT use Dr. Fletcher.

I can't even call this man a doctor because of the pain and suffering he has caused. A simple procedure that was only supposed to have 6-7 days recovering time has now turned into 5 surgeries and counting, It has been over a month of pain and suffering all because he had too much pride to admit that he didn't know what he was doing, Septic shock sat in and he didn't even know until we had another hospital and doctor take over Fletchers embarrassing attempts of being a butcher. He assured us that he had it under control and that he and his staff could take care off of the situation, until stars had to be called in and rushed to a fully equipped ICU center. The staff didn't even realize how close death was until a family member started to question the quality of care. Further surgeries showed fletchers unsteady hands where he had nicked the colon in three different places which caused leaks in to the stomach cavity which brought on major infection. Please don't not make the same mistakes that our family has, do your own research. DO NOT CONSULT THIS UNEDUCATED MAN!!

I am surprised by some of the reviews...Dr. Fletcher was truly outstanding when performing my appendectomy. He is a straight shooter, I completely agree. Is he rude? NO, is he uncompassionate? NO. Is he a skilled and efficient surgeon? ABSOLUTELY! I suppose you will never please everyone - as Aristotle said "a friend to all men, is a friend to none" .I feel Dr. Fletcher is an outstanding surgeon who made my experience a positive one with a relatively short recovery time. Thank you John!

This is an very knowledgable surgeon. Very to the point and always keeps you informed and up to date. His staff is amazing and he explains everything very well in a way one can understand! Would recommend highly!

Dr fletcher saved my son. we had been to emergency earlier in the day with my 14 year old son who was very ill. the rest of the family had the flu over the last week so when he became ill we thought it may be that to for the first few days.he became increasing worse with severve abdominal pain.we went to emerg in cam, waited for some time were seen by another on call dr, who with minimal moments checking my son sent us home.as we live far from towm we decided to stay in camrose as he was very ill and i was sure there was more wrong. By 1030pm we headed back,dr fletcher was called to look at my son.within moments of looking at my son who was so pale he was almost green dr fletcher we are going to surgery now. he had burst his appendix, for probably 4 days dr fletcher figured as he was so full of infection.he was in hospital a week home from school for a month.I credit dr flethchers knowledge to my sons life.thank you forever!

Had surgery Sept 11 2001 in camrose abdomal he sent me home to Wetaskiwin 1 hour after he operation ,with 23 staples and a drain tube got a terrible infection he removed the staples 5 days later put me on high antibotics and sent me home again to this day I am suffering with pain and 3 hernia,s that no one will fix .
