I need urgent attention to multiple facial cuts and abrasions and he was excellent. Ten stitches to face in 5 locations, CT scan revealing slight brain bleed. Nice manner and explains well.

My daughter came in on Sunday ( stitches ) my husband came in on Monday ( ankle ) both times it was like ground hog day. He walked around. I never saw him actually see a patient. He sat at his computer or on the phone for hours at a time. BOTH times he was on the phone trying to recover his password to even log into the computer. No joke. Both times couldn’t even log into a computer.
We never actually saw him as ourdoctor because both time doctors from other units had to come and take patients off his load. So we now have 2 doctors from other units helping him.
This is crazy. This man shouldn’t be practicing.

This guy seems way too nervous to be a Doctor….he took way too long to treat and explain what was wrong with my daughter…and when he did he didn’t seem to know what he was talking about. I don’t recommend this guy at all….we spent the entire day in the ER and left with no answers..he needs to retire!

He really cares about his patients and has a good bedside manner. Takes longer to see him because he is very thorough.

This emergency Doctor was awful. I saw him for a recurring and unesplainable breast infection. He wanted to hear limited information regarding my symtoms and he cut me short when I wanted to expand on the recurrence. He seemed not to have time to explain anything to me. Because of this lack of information, I was not confident that Dr. Zalmanowitz had the proper information and couldn't possibly help me with my medical concerns. An acquaintance, of his, was placed in the emergency bed across from me and Dr. Zalmanowitz proceeded to have a lengthy conversation with her and had plenty of time to chat while I waited for Urine, blood clutures and radiology orders. He didn't explain anything to me. This doctor has no bedside manner or empathy. (ecxept for those he knows). I wouldn't recommend him to anyone I know.

This is a pragmatic empathetic doctor who spent the right amount of time working up my file. It's got to be tough to have to make decisions on the spot in a busy emergency room but I'd certainly ask for him. He was clear minded and even though it was a busy busy day. His staff clearly liked him too...lots of respect each way.

It is an Emergency department. He has more bedside manner and empathy than you would expect. Maybe an Emergency department isn't the place to go for recurring infections. I was very happy with his service.

Dr. Zalmanowitz was wonderful when I took my mother in last week. He was patient and made sure we understood before moving on to his next duty. All of his interactions with other patients and staff seemed positive despite the tense nature of the environment. I'd feel comfortable and assured in his care again.
