Been seeing Dr. Meiring for 14 years, and she has always been a great doctor. I have no complaints at all. Sorry about the people who have, hope they find the doctor who fits them better. We as patients should pray for our doctors and their knowledge and understanding for us.

Dr. Meiring has been my doctor for the past 3 years – compared to my previous GP, she is amazing. Very compassionate, lovely person. She actually seems to care about your mental/emotional well-being and not just your physical well-being (which is so rare for a GP). My one complaint as someone else stated – the Scottish receptionist – extremely rude when it is not warranted…treats patients with no respect – I am a grown, educated woman and do not need to be talked to like a 3-year old. I am surprised they have not fired her.

She IS a good doctor! Ive had her fo almost 10 years. While its true, follow ups and knowing her patients full history sometimes lacks. But She does have alot of patients! ( to the person or family) that say Dr.meiring accused you of stealing from her office. You could have sued if it was a lie!!! And you DIDNT. So your kids tonsils being removed doesnt matter when you rip off the doctor whos suppose to treat them. You screwed your kids out of a good doctor! My personal experience with Dr. Meiring has been pretty good. I find I have to be direct and let her know the fullest extent of my medical needs. Its upto us to try and explain what we think is goin on too. All Doctors in this area have a large amount of patients. With 90% of them not excepting new patients! So get to know your Dr. and respect the fact they are people too.So appeal to the human side of your Dr/ patient relationship!

Ive been with her for almost 10 years. I havent been a major health issue in my own right. But I do know her husband is in practise. They dont always agree on eachothers choices when treating patients. And when one spouse is away and the other covers, patients seem to loose their idenity and concerns in the shuffle. On a great note, Dr. Meiring is good at what she does! She rarley is aloof. But there again, shes human..and things such as tragedy and personal stuff happens in her life too.She lost a family member who she was close to, and was at work the next day so noone would be left with out their set appt. Speak up..if you dont agree with the Dr. Say so. We all have a voice. And know our bodies best. So again SPEAK UP! So she can know what shes looking at. Shes not a miracle worker or mind reader. With all the variables in each indiviuals’ life, it be hard to say and do the right thing everytime, every visit. Somtimes its just plan guess work. Way to Go Dr. Meiring!!!

I beleive Dr. Meiring herself is a wonderful doctor! She is helpful and polite and genuinely cares for my well being. However, I do not find her receptionists helpful at all. I am a generally healthy person and only visit the doctor once a year for my check-up. I have been into her office a total of four times, and each time the receptionists have spelled my name wrong (causing me to miss my appointment because they can not find me in the system), did not book me in at all, or simply did not put my folder out so I wait for over an hour to get in. I find it extremely frustrating that her staff are unable to keep appointments organized, and are often rude towards me when trying to figure things out. It is a shame that some staff give a wonderful doctor a bad name.
