While Dr. Blackman was correct and slightly helpful with diagnosing me and gave me and my family a better understanding of my behaviour he made me dislike him very quickly. I was absolutely appalled by the way he treated me after being admitted for a suicide attempt. He refused to be understanding of the state me and my family were in at the time. After several months my family and I went to talk to him about my eating disorder as I was going to his group therapy (which I couldn't stand), when he told us that eating disorders were not serious, and hardly a health risk if I was not a walking skeleton. He told my parents to leave me be in my habits. A week or two later I was admitted to the hospital ED unit for critical potassium levels and severe dehydration. I really have nothing good to say about Dr. Blackman. He always made me feel uncomfortable, stupid and not worth anyone's attention. I don't understand how a person like him can be helping mentally and emotionally troubled youth

Was a patient of this man as a child. Now wondering in my 20s how he is even allowed to work with kids, or any youth/individual that needs help. He still has his job? This would be hilarious if only so many people weren’t hurt under his name and practice.

I have seen DrB for almost 30 years. I started out with him when I was a boy. I don’t remember ever being traumatized by him, and although he can give off the creepy vibe, he is knowledgeable in his field. You have to have faith in what he is telling you, it is generally for a reason.

Absolutely horrible. He is rude and arrogant and a horrible man. He talks about nothing that has to do with me or psychiatry, and at one point he went off on a long tangent about Russian vodka. He even interrupts me when I’m talking about my feels to interject and try and guess what I’m saying, then he’ll draw the conversation back to himself. He was 45 minutes late for our appointment and the parking lot was empty and we were the only people there aside from him and the staff. You can truly tell that he has no passion for the job he does, and that he is terrible at it. I can’t believe it took me two years to get in to see this excuse of a doctor.

If you want a doctor who actually listens and cares, this is not the doctor for you. He prescribes my son the medication he needs, so that is useful. I really dislike the man.

I have 2 daughters that see Dr Blackman One had anxiety of being around bugs. So bad. That she would hide in a corner at playtime at school. Since Dr Blackman has given her the proper medication she enjoys her time outdoors my other daughter suffered with depression. Dr Blackman reassured us that being patient in an attempt to find what medication and therapy would be the key. My daughter is now happy thanks to Dr Blackman and not having thoughts of hurting herself.
