Not impressed. When I asked him questions he wasn’t aware of my Mom’s latest results. Staff told my Mom they didn’t understand the high chemo doses she received.

Dr. Sawyer has been our daughter’s Phase 1 Clinical Trial Oncologist for 6 years and we are extremely pleased with him. He is both brilliant and compassionate, a rare combination.

Dr Sawyer is a very intelligent medical oncologist, researcher and pharmacologist. He has a warm focused helpful manner and sorts through reams of information at almost warp speed. We found him to be amazingly helpful in a very difficult cancer situation.

Worst oncologist ever!! Didn’t remember what treatment protocol he put my daughter on. More interested in boasting about himself then saving patients. Stay clear if you want to live.

Dr. Sawyer is competent, compassionate, credible, cutting edge. He is not condescending, but relatable. It is a privilege to have him as my doc. The negative reviews likely are emotional one offs, not a fair assessment of this man with a big heart and brain.

Dr Sawyer is a wonderful doctor. He was always kind and compassionate to my mother. Our family always felt better after meeting with Dr Sawyer. His knowledge and expertise is incredible. My family and I will forever be grateful for the extra precious time we had with my mother. Dr. Sawyer even came to see my mom the night before she passed away at another hospital. He is above and beyond. We dealt with him for 5 years.. So grateful for that time we had with our mom. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This doctor was assigned to my friend Debra diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma. She waited 3 months for a consult. He spoke to her doctor, denied her treatment and refused to speak to her. No appointment, no consult, no conversation just go away and die. If this is his attitude towards cancer patients, perhaps he should look into another way to make a living.

Amazing Oncologist and we highly recommend him. Not only has his experience and knowledge kept my husband, who has pancreatic cancer, going for what is now starting year 3 of treatments, his wonderful sense of humor and upbeat attitude is also a huge factor in the therapeutic process. Edmonton is extremely lucky to have access to him and his wonderful, professional and caring team.
