I find Dr. Steyn to be very busy and has way too many patients. It takes about two months to get into see him because of this fact. He gives you time to discuss any issues you may have. Dr. Steyn will give you the best care that is out there, he listens very well and always gives feedback.

I have seen many psychiatrists and Dr Steyn supercedes them all with his honsty, integrity and knowledge. He is honest and blatently straightforward and very perceptive .An excellent Psychiatrist...too bad there were not more out there like him~!

3/1/10 1 1 1 1 This doctor is the rudist, most verbally-abusive individual I have ever encountered. He called me a liar and threatened not to see me again - because he "knew" that the doctor that I had seen previously did not exist and because the medical results he needed to see were not available to him during my appointment. If the latter is the case, his medical assistant is incompetent, since I called several times to verify that she had everything that the doctor needed. His assistant does not return phone calls but the other office staff were courteous and helpful. I waited four months for this first appointment and an hour in the office before the doctor saw me. Dr Steyn doesn't give you a chance to voice your concerns. Is more oriented to using medications instead of using counselling & some medications.

Dr Steyn is way more than a Psychiatrist. He has treated my physical health far better than my family doctor. It’s a real shame that other Doctors are too busy to actually talk to their patent.. He is a wonderful Dotor and a person that honestly cares…

Dr.Steyn has been the most kind and considerate psychiatrist I have been too. He really listens to me. And takes great interest in my concerns. He takes out books and finds things on the Internet to show me so that I can have a better understanding of my personal mental health . He has even taken the time to send me for proper blood testing regarding my physical health. He has never ‘pushed’ medications on me, he has never disregarded a single thing I have brought to his attention. I hope I am fortunate enough to have him for many years to come. Finding a Doctor I can trust with all aspects of my health has been a true blessing.

Dr. Steyn takes a very personal interest in your mental and physical health and connects the two when applicable. Has gone above and beyond to help not only myself but other family members. He is a realist.

Dr Steyn is the very best ,,he truly cares about his patients and their families .
He will help you in any way he can. He is not pill pusher at all. I like him because he’s upfront and honest. He’s very easy to talk to and really listens to what your saying .
