This doctor did not solve my ongoing problem and was difficult to deal with so I tried getting a referral to another doctor at the rocky view hospital but have been denied 3 times and told I have to see him. Something is not right. You should be able to see another doctor

This doctor was so terrible on my case, other Gastroenterologists at the Rockyview Hospital advised me to change doctors. I did.

He is an exceptional Doctor. He has given me all the information needed. His personality is up and his excitement as to what he does exudes from him. I like this gifted man and I am honoured to have him as my Doctor.

Very rude and arrogant when I would talk to him he would ask me how I was feeling and when I would say I felt fine he would respond by saying I find it odd or and strange how you could be feeling fine like he wanted me to be sick. Prescribed me my medication and after only a few weeks of taking it he assumed it wasn’t working and wanted to switch me without even so much as offering to do another colonoscopy. Told me my iron was low and to start taking iron pills and again had only been taking them for a few weeks and he called me up and said I’m sending you for iron infusions and when I said no and explained to him that I hadn’t even been taking the iron pills that long and wanted to wait and see if they were going to work first he got very rude and my doctor a letter saying I was reluctant to get iron infusions so I had to explain to my doctor that I wasn’t I just wanted to see if the pills were going to work first and if not I was willing to go and I only wanted that because I’ve never had an issue with my iron before I thought it was fair but apparently if something isn’t working over night it’s not good enough for him. Would never recommend this doctor to anyone.

He's super smart about crohns anyways. Always upbeat friendly and not usually rushing you out. Great w pain relief during colonoscopies. Fast referrals for ultrasound. Got me feeling normal after 10 years of not feeling great.

Been Going to him 2yrs now and I think he is the best doc. I call him and have an apt asap. He doesnt waste time with me at all. He understands when I am down because all my options are failing but still does the best he can for me. And he knew my fave doc from back home Dr Macsween…

After three years of suffering due to issues from laporascopic gall bladder sugery performed by a surgeon in St. Albert, I got an appointment with Dr Kareemi this week. His secretary made the arrangements and was wonderful. I was up in Calgary on business so the quick visit was perfect. I have seen a lot of doctors over the last three years and he really has put my faith back in the medical profession. Finally I see some light at the end of the tunnel (after over two months on a fluid diet and no end in sight). The news is not necessarilly the best but he was truthful and honest about my condition and has given me hope to move forward. He is honest without being blunt. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone even with my brief visit.

Dr. Kareemi cares! Very kind and very helpful. Kindness is as important as the treatment. Dr. Kareemi is a master of both.
