I see why some people may find Dr. Roberts' bedside manner a little brusque, as he is an older gentleman and his demeanor may seem stern to some, but I found him to be jovial, pleasant and humorous at times. He seemed very knowledgeable and discussed treatment options with me and their pros and cons, and the potential side effects to expect. I feel I was well treated.

This doctor made my husband and I feel even worse about his diagnosis of MS. He gave us no treatment options and seemed unprepared to answer any of our questions. He has very poor bedside manner. He did not look us in the eyes and was not helpful in any way.

Dr forgot to order MRI on one area of back, had to get GP to order MRI on that area, Dr Roberts would not. No follow-up to exam results, found out MRI results from my GP. Did not listen to patient as to what was wrong, has diagnosis already in his head it seems. After reading these other reviews, not impressed. Seems to be very knowledgeable, very computor savy.

The exam went very well it seemed he was quite organised knew what i was suffering from and how much i was suffering. Im confused about some of these other post’s as i had no problem with this dr.

In Jan 1993 I started having seizures. I would not loser consciencousness or anything so it was hard to detect what the problem was. I saw 7 family Dr’s. Finally someone referred me to Dr Roberts in the spring of 1994. I waited at the Mis to see him for a half hour. Finally when I went in her did an exam, asked me a few questions and gave me a prescription for AED’s. He pinpointed what it was in minutes. I have been stabalized ever since on my AED’s. True he does not waste any time nor does he mince any words but this man knows his stuff. Unfortunatley I think his personality is what turns people off and they miss that he is quite smart and good at what he does. As far as the follow-up (I saw him years later as well), unless he is very concerned that there may be a problem or if you ask for another appointment he lets you go on your merry way.

Had 3 visits with him to see if I had MS, after 1 visit he said that he did not believe that I had MS, 2years have gone by I’ve had 3 MRI,VSR,CSR,blood tests and spinal tap was the last, waited 2 months no follow up call, made an appointment during my visit approx 10 min. he told me that I didnt have MS but that I had Hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP). Asked the normal questions, treatment, support he informed me that there was non and said good luck! since when do you tell someone good luck! will see about a 2nd opion. if I wanted luck I would by lottery tickets!
