Dr. Coll saved my life. Today I am functioning and back to almost my old self. I still have things I have to cope with, but I am eternally grateful for his frank and candid style.

Every doctor needs to be the right fit for the patient; Dr. Coll was the right no nonsence, anti-pill pushing doctor for me. Through cognitive and behavioral therapy, he turned my life around seven years ago and the tools he taught me are still effective today. By far, the best therapist I have ever seen.

did not get any help and he did not know what he was talking about..very judgemental

I found dr.coll to be very kind and compassionate regarding my mental health and my working to get my child home. loved him..still do

Dr Coll decided who I was and what was wrong based on files that where over a decade old. He did not listen to anything I had to say. Hearing is not listning. Arrogant would not be a strong enough word. I was given no way to participate in my own diagnosis or treatment.I agree that pills are not the answer to everything, however they make a crucial difference in my ability to to perform as a person both personaly and professionally. His advice (no meds, waitlist, no intermediate support), puts my person and career at risk. His diagnosis was reckless and made without any testing or assessment beyond a short interview, and his recomendation for treatment probably had more to do with padding his pet project, dialectical behavioural treatment. He may work very well for people who are in need of a paternalistic father figure to tell them what to do. I however, can make quality decisions on my own. Once I got over the initial shock of my apointment, I have had many laughs at his expense.

Dr. Pat Coll helped me from 2006-2013 a wonderful professional! Kind, compassionate,"real", funny and blunt. Surviving trauma isn't always easy and sometimes we are left with many unanswered questions...Visits to Dr. Coll would leave me feeling safe, cared about, hopeful, and helped me to get the spark for life back that I once had. I will be forever great full to this doctor and all that he has done! A light in my darkness!!!

I saw Patrick after I was coerced into taking DBT therapy. What a waste of my time and energy. Thankfully enough complained that Patrick is no longer a practicing Psychiatrist! Hurray!

A arrogant , selfish, self centered, incompetent Psychiatrist. Will write negative things in your file that are untrue and that will follow you from DR to DR. He is more of a Dictator than a mental health professional. I asked for my files which you are legally entitled too and this idiot wrote that while seeing him no other mental health professional was receive any files including my own dr of 10 years!!! If this isn't a dictatorship and control trip what is??? Who does he think he is writing in my file that every single admittance to hospital or walk in appointment goes to him??? He is a psychiatrist not a physical health dr. Thank the heavens that this menace had been forced to retire through multiple complaints with the physicians and surgeons. Know your rights people! Make a complaint

Living with a mental illness can be likened to a high wire performence act. One misstep and you're thrown off balance, potentially with fatal results. It quite literally is a balancing act everyday. I won't get into details about my illnesses, but I hope to share my experience with Patrick ( I refuse to call him a Dr, regardless of his credentials ) to better inform others. In 2008 I had started seeing him on a regular basis, through an outpatient program. I had no choice in choosing him. He was assigned to me and each week I would meet with him to review my progress. My first meeting with him, he leaned back in his reclining chair with absolutely no emotion on his face ( I would go so far to say he had a flat affect) and said "so, you need help hey? Why are you here? You seem fine to me" I found him to be very condescending, very difficult to speak to( it was his way or no way ). He became angry when I suggested alternative ideas to his, raised his voice and flat out refused to give me any medication to alleviate my insomnia/ depression/ anxiety saying " you need to try harder in the program, it's very simple". I was trying... Fighting for my life. I was in 4 hours of therapy week, never missed a session and always did what was expected of me. Inhad to BEG him to give me something to stabalize my sleep as it was affecting my disorders. Finally I had no option, but to "double Doctor" in order to get a medication to alleviate my symptoms. If you are searching for a compassionate, kind, gentle "professional" to speak to, please do not place your life in the hands of this man. He does not care. It appears that he is only in it for the money, not for the betterment of his patients.
