It’s been 6 weeks since my hip replacement surgery and I can’t say enough good things about my entire experience with Dr. Gandhi and his team. Leah was always ready to answer questions. I religiously did my exercises and can honestly say that I am ahead of schedule. Thank you Dr. Gandhi!!!

I apologized for the delay, Pls read to the end.
I am 68 yrs old. My initial consultation with Dr. Ghandi was 2 yrs ago, it was done by his intern, Dr. Ghandi breezed in the last 10 seconds to introduced himself. I had my posterior left hip replacement done the same yr. My 2nd meeting was one month after my surgery, I was excited and had some concerns to discuss, Dr. Ghandi was so rude, condescending, arrogant and was in so much in a hurry, he told me to discuss my concerns with my family doctor and he literally ended our meeting in less than 5 minutes! I was so shocked and traumatized! It is this kind of abhorrent and unprofessional behaviour that tarnish the name of UHN!
I had my left hip replacement surgery done in early 2022 by a different surgeon from another hospital. The experience was unbelievably remarkable that it will remain with me forever.

Dr. Gandhi gave me a new right hip on February 3rd. I will come back in 6 weeks to provide an update. So far all I can say is Dr. Gandhi and his before and after team looked after me very well. Leah was always available to answer all my questions. Just doing all my exorcises and managing the pain. So far so good into day 3. What impressed me was Dr. Gandhi called my wife right after surgery which was really appreciated.

Terrible doctor. Poor bedside manners. Any good review here is written by one of his family friends. Horrible.

Dr Gandhi is tops in his field, an elite orthopaedic surgeon. He’s replaced two of my hips and one knee. He and all the staff at TWH have been excellent. We are extraordinarily fortunate to have specialists of his calibre to treat us. Surgeons of Dr Gandhi’s quality could make A LOT more money in the US. All this prattle in other comments about bedside manner is pure nonsense. He’s a top surgeon for Heaven’s Sake. He’s booked wall-to-wall, and doesn’t have a lot of time to sit at your bedside and chat. Consider yourself very fortunate if he’s treating you. Al M

Rushed me through my knee appointment and seemed disinterested. This man is very ignorant and arrogant shame on this hospital for allowing someone like this to practice and treat patients like this.

I had a total knee replacement done by Dr. Gandhi 7 months ago. I am still having major issues and severe pain in my knee. In each of my 4 post op appointments, he has blamed the cause on 4 totally different possibilities. Never once, has he actually ever examined my knee since the surgery. Never has it been X-rayed or had any further tests done. I am still having lots if pain and there is still extreme swelling and tightness all around my knee, that is very obvious and has not improved much at all, even after 7 months of physiotherapy, twice a week, as well as deep massage therapy. Knee should have improved by now and this info is coming from 2 separate physiotherapists, a family doctor and a massage therapist, as well. But instead of Dr. Gandhi actually investigating and finding the cause of these problems. He only hears about them from his assistants and in his 60 second visit with me, he does not invite any conversation and before I get a chance to speak, or ask questions. He has a statement prepared and just says to continue with more physio. How much physio is the norm? And when will my knee show signs of improvement. I want and need to go back to work. I want to be able to resume some of my normal activities. But I have not been able to do either. I’m so frustrated and do not think this is normal. I am very disappointed and extremely unhappy with Dr. Gandhi’s care. Family doctor has had to refer me to another surgeon.

Very arrogant doctor. Did not display any interest in patient care. Walked off without completing appointment. Avoid if possible.

Dr. Gandhi is incredibly arrogant. His cocky demeanour is both unprofessional and condescending. He could stand to be more humble. I find it concerning that he operates on patients based on his unprofessional behaviour. Yes, we all want a confident surgeon for an operation, but a balance in his case would benefit this overly arrogant man.

I haven't had my knee replacement yet but after my third visit I know he is my doctor! Dr, Ghandi strikes me as a very charismatic man, very confident and yet extremely warm and caring. Thank you all for sharing your experiences which make feel this much better about my initial judgement.
