Mon. in May went to emergency, bleeding profusedly for 6 hrs. Hospital ran tests, & results were negative. Thurs. I was bked for Cystoscopy with Dr. Barr. Results showed major bladder infection. This conflict with the negative results the hospital ran 4 days earlier Dr. Barr commented this happens with one of 2 rare bladder cancers. He wanted to do a biopsy, bkd Sept. A wk prior he changed it to Cystoscopy. During Cystoscopy he found I had another bladder infection. Wanted to see me back to do another Cystoscopy & since I was being insistent on a biopsy, he’d do a partial that wouldn’t require myself put under. See him in 6 wks. 3 wks later I receive notice in mail apptmt made for Dec, which is 6 wks later. 2 wks prior I learn its no longer a Cystoscopy, but an office follow up apptmt. I left with a bladder infection & given no meds. My problems have increased, & I called to insist on a biopsy at my GP’s recommendation. Waiting for his assistant to discuss with him & retrn my call.

He isn’t the most chatty Dr. and gets right to the point. He explained what the surgery would entail and what to expect afterwards. My surgery went well and I’ve been feeling better since.

Dr. Barr performed a full nephrectomy on my left kidney in early February 2012. I found him to be an extremely able, helpful and knowledgeable surgeon who took the time to make me feel secure in any decisions I have made. He may not be the most upbeat person in the world, but his demeanor was totally professional and I never once questioned his, or his staff’s, ability to provide me with the best health care possible. Dr. Barr went above and beyond in my case, to provide me with top notch health care. I would not hesitate recommending him to anyone who requires his services.

Dr Barr has been very helpful in treating my kidney stones. He always tells me what he’s doing, what might happen, and why something could be happening. He is very straighforward gives yo the facts. he showed me all of the x-rays and talked my husband and me through them.

While Dr. Barr seemed competent the night my daughter collapsed and went to emergency for surgery. However her stones were too large to be surgically removed. He told us we were being sent home the next day and would be called in for sound blasting procedure to break up the stones. No one has ever called. My daughter sits at home in pain waiting for nothing. We called his office 4 days later. Receptionist claims my daughter is not even one of his patients. He put the stent in! We were told to wait, they would call by end of week. Nothing! We spoke with 4 different hospital departments who all say we must wait for Dr. Barr to file a form to allow my daughter treatment, but he can not be reached and has filed nothing! Now week is up, no call back, and his office is closed to leave her to suffer for another 3 days over long weekend. Unbeleavable! Worst service from a DR. in my whole life! Acts like he cares, but does not!
