Dr Ricky has been my saving grace and been my treating psych for 3 years now. As someone with numerous complications. He is incredibly knowledgeable, actually listens to you and see’s you as a person not just another patient. Most importantly actually asks for my input in regards to any changes that are being made and explains his thoughts and processes in detail. He is a forward thinker and always has a plan B. One of the most proactive things he suggested from day 1 was to complete a genetic/DNA based test to establish what medications are best processed by my individual liver enzymes, this allows the plethora of medications to be narrowed down. Couldn’t recommend him more

Nobody’s perfect. Despite the front desk’s service being lukewarm and and on edge, and Dr Tsang running 40 mins late to my booking, he was attentive and caring towards me as he was to his previous patient. Would be back because he really takes the time to explain things, listen, and seems like an all round good guy.

I have only had a few appointments with Dr Ricky Tsang, and he has demonstrated a caring and insightful approach to my problems. He appears to have a vast knowledge at his fingertips and what he doesn’t know he will humbly admit he doesn’t, and research. I feel confident and safe under his care.

Dr Tsang has come as a light at the end of a very dark and confusing journey. I have struggled with mental health issues since 2008 and had been shunted from one doctor to another.I was misdiagnosed with PMMD by a leading Women's mental health hospital .Hormone treatment went on for years still no help. Dictors couldn't take a stand, wether my symptoms physiological or psychological. As a last resort I booked an appointment after hearing good things about Dr Tsang After a half an hours chat he diagnosed what the more popular and in demand psychiatrist couldn't do for so long. With a clear diagnosis and his very good insight in the particular disorder.i have been on two different mood stabilisers .I have experience a gradual elevation of symptoms and have gained control over myself as the dose has been increased gradually. I appreciate his knowledge and real concern about all I have had to go though and is reassuring about the future.

Very poor experience with Dr Tsang. I saw Dr Tsang for over 8 months, and he left me feeling like a guinea pig. He gave me drug after drug to try, some cheap, others incredibly expensive. I was a uni student and cutting corners with groceries to afford his $400+ bills. He diagnosed me with depression and anxiety, and tried me on 13+ drugs - even heavier, sedating ones. When I'd come back after another 4-6 weeks on a new drug, with no improvement, rather than providing some empathy and compassion, we'd move quickly on to the next 'I had a patient who had luck on this, let's try this'. There were plenty of times I had 9am appointments, and would see him arrive in the front doors at 9:15am, if not later. While seeing him, I never feel heard, validated, or empowered. I'm now in a much better place, and the key was an excellent psychologist, supportive GP and lifestyles changes - something Dr Ricky Tsang did not identify, nor did he acknowledge the importance of such supports.
