I visited Aroney with my mother following the removal of secondary brain tumour to express concerns re medication she was on as there was a a steady decline in her behaviour. He totally dismissed my concerns and treated me like an idiot. Turns out that my concens were valid as 6 weeks later she was admitted to hospital because of the effect the medication had on her. She recovered from that and her mind was back 100% yet Aroney still failed to adequately check her condition - result cancer back in brain and also liver. She was in Wyong hospital for 5 weeks before she died and NOT ONCE did Aroney show his face - all the "consulting" was done over the phone. He was so involved in her care that he didn't even know about her death until 5 days later. If you value you life or those of your loved ones steer clear of this so called specialist.

Dr Aroney is almost obsessive with his treatment of me. He is a geek, but very good at his job and makes sure his medical staff are good at their jobs too. His only let down is his receptionist. Which I avoid dealing with. I dont think I am the only one as Dr Aroney hands out his mobile number to all patents.

Always takes his time. Very knowledgeable and works hard to give you the best treatment. Will get you treated for anything you complain about — even if its not cancer related, if it impacts your well being under his care. Gives out his mobile and email number. Have no idea why the other comments are so negative as I’ve been under his care for 4 years now, and never had any issue with him calling me back, or answering even the most trivial question. Nothing has been too much effort for him. Receptionist is lovely too – maybe you just have to be friendly? Only negative I can find is that you often wait a while – but that’s because he refuses to rush his patients. More power to him.

My late wife was under Dr Aroney’s care for two and a half years before she finally succumed to breast cancer. Dr Aroney showed more care for her than no other doctor I have known. He took whatever time was required and whenever it was required. We had his mobile number and his home number and on occasions did ring his mobile late at night and was provided with the utmost courtesy. Mt wife was a nurse at the hosital and right from the outset knew that Dr Aroney was the one that she wanted to be under. Highly recommended.
