She is a wonderful and caring doctor and has a great nurse working with her. She truly cares about her patients and takes the time to go over all symtoms old and new with her patients. Wonderful person and wonderful doctor. Im truly lucky my family doctor sent me to her.

Very no-nonsense. I think her staff are scared of her. She’s definitely not warm and cuddly but fiercely smart. I have improvised dramatically under her care. Don’t expect her to sugarcoat anything though.

Dr. Le Clercq is finally going to retire in 2020. In my opinion her retiring will be a credit to Canadian Rheumatology. It seems to me that if a patient is not in the last stages of a disease , the doctor chucks all symptoms of inflammation to being an emotional or mental problem of the patient. I have visited with her 3 times and I have left her office crying two times because she doesn’t find inflammation and yet she has me on the max doses for my medications and my inflammatory markers are high. This last time she suggested that my problems are emotional. I didn’t know that emitions would elevate inflammatory markers!!! As if. The only time I left her office in an acceptable state was the day I lied to her and told her everything was fine. I have to drive 3 hours to go see her for her 10 minutes lecture/consult. I’m done with her. She will only pay attention to me if she sees me in a wheelchair.

I was referred to Dr. Le Clerq by my Rheumatologist in another Province, when I moved to Calgary. I have seen 5 Rheumatolgists since I was diagnosed with Lupus in 1991. She is, by far, the best specialist I have ever had. She is a very compassionate, knowledgeable and no-nonsense doctor.

I have been under Dr. Le Clerq’s care for over 5 years and I just love her! I drive from Edmonton to see her. I love her get to the point attitude, she answers my questions as honestly as possible and doesn’t mince words. I see 5 specialists for my auto immune disease and hands down she is my favorite! I always leave with either a hug or a hand squeeze, she acts tough but has a heart of gold!

My former specialist retired so last year was referred to Dr. LeClerq. I waited for well over 2 hours, she looked at my hands for about 2 minutes, did not speak to me at all but spoke to the assistant. This year I waited 45 minutes and she did not even show up for the appointment. Meanwhile there was a huge sign at the front saying patients had to cxl apt within 48 hours — there was no respect for the patients’ time either last year or this year – no apology. For a specialist she sure is very unprofessional.
