I saw this doctor during my pregnancy when she practiced in Mill Woods in the 1980s. During delivery when things weren't progressing to her satisfaction she started whispering to the nurse about the time and about getting to her practice in time for office hours. Then she strapped my arms to the delivery table and administered demoral, which knocked out the contractions totally. I begged to be let free, but she refused because I couldn't stay laid down due to the pain in my back. She called in an ob/gyn, who said he would let my arms free. Then he said, without asking or warning, "let me help you out first" and then hauled my poor baby out with forceps. After that, Hughes and the ob/gyn allowed my hands to be freed from restraints. Hughes looked at her watch and said, "Well, time for breakfast and a shower after all." And off she went. So, guys, the authority and experience on which Shelia Hughes teaches and practices, is based on her history of perpetrating horrors as she did to me.

Dr.Hughes is one of the best Dr's I have ever had. She is very caring kind and understanding. If she is unsure what is wrong she will send you to another Dr. I respect her and trust her with my life and my family's. She always has a smile and something kind to say.I would recomend her to anyone. The one problem is the staff, many times they are not pleasant, but Dr. Hughes makes up for it.

Dr. Hughes is finally retiring. I have been going to her for years, due to having difficulty finding another doctor. I have been trying to get pregnant for 7 years and she sent me to the fertility clinic which just wanted to inject me with stronger drugs instead of fixing my irregular cycle properly. I didn’t like seeing the student doctors either, because if I did like one of them, you would see them once and then they would move on. Other ones didn’t have a clue, like the one who couldn’t find my cervix. Dr. Hughes wasn’t exactly gentle giving PAPs either. Happy retirement
