Dr Ali is the most personable Dr I have ever met. She actually cares not only for the health of her patients but their lives as well. She knows the highschool I went to, names of my close friends and my hobbies and interests. She incourages natural and healthy fixes often prior to any medication as it's typically a better option in the long run.

I have had an excellent experience with Dr. Ali. I know how hard it is to accommodate with urgency but whenever I call I get in with Dr. Ali. Some patients resort to walk-in's without even calling her office to see if they can get in to see her same day. When signing up with Dr. Ali she mentioned she works 2 days so it was not a surprise and i am sure she tells her patients in advance. People are too sensitive these days. You are NOT rating this doctor on her work ethic but personality which by the way is lovely. She is human and may have a bad day but she tells it like it is and if you can't handle that get another doctor so that patients who actually want to see her can.

Dr. Ali is awesome. She listens, is very thorough and respectful. I have gone to her for 3 years and now my daughter and husband have switched to her and equally think she is awesome. We feel very fortunate to have found such a great professional.

Agree with a lot of the people that have had bad experiences with dr Ali. In the beginning she was very nice, helpful and seemed knowledgeable however as soon as you see a different doctor due to her lack of availability she comes across as very cold rude and unhelpful, makes you feel stupid for the visit and pretty much tells you that you are wasting her time! I feel she can be a good doctor to those she chooses to be, at the same time can be extremely rude and moody, glad I don't take my family to her anymore and happy to know she's no longer at south Surrey medical centre.

We love Dr. Ali....we have been seeing her for just over two years now even though she works two days a week in her clinic we can always get an appointment and rarely are we ever kept waitin. She listens to us and does not just push pills. We are very blessed to have such a caring and warm doctor....thank you!

I visited my local walk-in with an eyelid swelling issue. Dr. Ali provided a visual examination without a scope and without gloves, and attempted to fold my eyelid inside out – unsuccessfully due to the swelling. She then immediately decided that it was viral in nature and that we should wait it out. While I understand that experience counts for a lot, there is virtually no experience that i’m aware of that would decide this was viral vs bacterial in nature. Or, as it turns out, the bite from some insect as the next Dr. I visited informed me. In the second case, the Dr immediately used a scope to peer at my eye and could identify the bite marks in the center of my eyelid. While I have no criticism of Dr. Ali’s demeanor, her professionalism was poor, from the lack of proper examination, to the lack of gloves, to the pronunciation that the origins of my swelling are merely a virus. I would not choose to visit her again.

The woman who works at the front desk took my 17 month old sons temperature and jabbed him pretty badly in his armpit, he cried a lot after, and said that his temperature was fine. I saw Dr. Tahmeena Ali, she took his temperature which was 39.8C and said it would be around 101F which is what we told her it was when we took it, turns out it was 103.8 so 2 degrees off, she looked in his ears, and said he didn’t have an ear infection. She then sent us to emergency and they looked in and diagnosed it right away and they were surprised she didn’t notice. Her personality was nice, but I’m not happy that she couldn’t diagnose a simple ear infection and didn’t know how to estimate temperature conversion and that the other woman had no idea how to take a temperature.

One of the best doctor’s I’ve seen! She was very helpful in my situation. Explained things to me very well and also was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to treat me and my situation. There was a 30 minute wait to see her and I got in 20 minutes. She is very patient and listens. I highly recommend her and would go back and see her.

I have been looking for a good family Dr. for a long time and I have finally found one! Dr. Ali is amazing and always makes me feel so comfortable. I work long hour and usually don’t get to see her every time I have an issue so I usually make a list of things to see her about. Ever time I go in to see Dr. Ali I try rushing through my list of ‘issues’ (knowing there are other patients waiting) but Dr. Ali always stops me and goes through my list in detail. I respect Dr. Ali’s knowledge and the quality of time she spends with me. I never feel like i’m being rushed out the door. If you are looking for a compassionate Dr. who goes above and beyond for her patients, I would highly recommend Dr. Ali!

The office staff have always been great, but I echo the concerns of prior reviews. If she sees you as “less than” for any reason, you will not be treated adequately or fairly.
