The nurses in ICU are the most disrespectful, rudest . no empathy towards the patient or the patients family. I have never been to a hospital that treated the family and patient so horrible. One nurse named Sandy demanded that there needs to be restrictions on who the patient can call and who she cannot call. This particular nurse was hostile towards family and patient. She was so rude and controlling that it made the family upset and leave in tears and the patient was left in tears. She needs to be terminated. I’ve never seen a nurse treat anyone so horrible.

Billing is a joke! The care was okay but absolutely diminished by the joke it is trying to get any questions answered about billing.

Last ER visit at American Fork Hospital, doctor walks into room and says “you need to stop coming here, it’s really expensive”. So I did and I actually got the help I needed. I have been going to American Fork Hospital my entire life. No more. It’s no wonder I’ve been sick so long. Even my doctor said “you need to go to IMC to have this scan, doctors here (meaning AF) don’t know how to read them” The nurses are great.

Currently waiting to be seen after coming in with chest pains. Every patient has been taken to a room but me after being told there were no rooms. Judgemental staff and total disregard for care of all patients.

Our experience started out great with the labor and delivery staff, they were all so nice and so quick to help. That quickly changed as we went to mom and baby and the baby eventually being admitted to the NICU. To say that the staff was rude and seeming unwilling to want to help give information to parents is an understatement. The nurse practitioners are only concerned about keeping their license calling our baby a “liability”. There’s been multiple instances of charting being entered incorrectly and we had to correct them. This place has been a joke, I’d recommend any other mom and baby department before this one.

I had surgery here a few months ago. The entrance staff was wonderful and attentive. Nice helpful and efficient. In my room i seldom saw a nurse. I was there a couple days. No one came to get me out of bed to walk. No one brought me a toothbrush, helped with pillows, or water. My pee hat spilled over. My drains spilled all over me my gown and the bed. They did help me with a new gown, but they threw an absorbant plastic pad over the one foot mess on the bed. Sheets were never changed. The food staff always brought a smile and were very helpful. The nursing staff sent a card when i got home. Maybe they were sending out cards while i lay in bloody drain fluids. Day surgery you have a good chance. Overnight bring your own help to stay.

I had emergency surgery done here recently. I have extensive patient experience with a much larger hospital, but was unable to use that facility in this instance. The hospital is small and quiet, which is definitely a plus. The food is the best I've ever had in a hospital. However, the nursing staff was frequently sub-par and the pre-surgery process lacking. They did not type my blood (the other hospital types it twice and cross checks it). One nurse did not exude any level of confidence and made me uneasy enough that I delayed getting needed medications. Another nurse dropped things constantly and had extreme difficulty managing my IV tubing. One did a necessary but painful procedure with no warning. Thankfully my discharge nurse was extremely competent and I went home feeling better about my condition. They only cleaned my room once in three days, while the other hospital does daily cleaning. Overall, it's a good - but not great - facility.

I've had terrible experiences here. Twice in the emergency room and twice in Mother and Baby. One of the experiences was a matter of life and death and big mistakes made by the nurses in the emergency room.
