I waited nearly 8 hours to see a doctor when a nurse accused me of drug seeking, I was there for a torn acl but because I had some mild pain medication run out in the same month (which I could have gotten a refill but I didn’t need it) she assumed I was there for more. She went so far as claiming to have recognized me from a different hospital and almost grabbed my knee to hoist me aggressively out of bed, I had to go so far as threaten to defend myself if she grabbed my leg, I ended up leaving without treatment despite the fact I could barely move, she justified her behavior saying that it sounded like I was in pain when I first came in but I hadn’t been making any painful sounds since then… seriously? I hadn’t move my leg, in what world do I have to justify my injuries to nurse ratchet? I literally have a fear of hospitals after receiving care here and highly recommended going to a further hospital if it’s not imminently life threatening. I’m writing this reviews years later because I was never able to let go of this traumatic experience.

Worst experience which began at the front door to the worst patient experience ever. Families and the patient are definitely not the focus at this institution.

Takes too much time to get help. Staff very slow to respond to your needs.

Staff does not care about the patients at all. It's really crazy how they run at this hospital. Act like they are “busy” when they are sitting around chatting. Staff is irritated when you ask questions. Seems like they just want to push cases through at the cost of the patients not getting better

They do not care about the welfare of patients . It's a shame how they treat people and give excuses for not extending proper care.

My son who has a mental disability was admitted, because while off his medication he told an EMT that he consumed household chemicals. He was put on a 24 hours watch, and was suppose to be released but they turned it into a psychotic episode instead which is not his diagnosis and committed him. They kept him sedated and confused, and then threw me out during a visit with him and removed his name from the directory. The Caseworker refused to speak to me about my son's condition, and was very rude. She has misdiagnosed my son, and committed my son for no reason at all and made it so I can't visit my son or find out anything about him. Is this how they treat a father of someone with a mental disability??? I feel like my son was kidnapped in front of my face, while I was embarrassed by being thrown out by two security guards for absolutely othing at all...I was giving my son a hug and was thrown out. The staff and hospital needs to be held responsible for what they are doing to my son and our family...his siblings love and miss him and are scared for him..cause he was just taking in front of my face when I 3xpected to be taking him home. Yhis has been very traumatic for my whole family, and my family will never be the same ever again. I am praying for my son's return home safely. He did managed to call me twice yesterday, but didn't know why he was still there and when he could come home because he has schizophrenia and they are treating him for psychosis which he does not have per his doctor. The Caseworker needs to be brought up on charges and fired for excluding me purposely and committing my son and throwing me out in front of him making this more traumatic for him which isn't helping his condition. Horrible place, horrible hateful staff. I called patient services to make a complaint, and when I made the complaint the guy seemed compassionate and understanding but when I called back the staff had created a false narrative of my actions to make me look like a criminal cause I am a black man who is a father who loves his son and will do anything to protect him from harms way, like any good father would. God please protect my son while he is locked up in Baystate Medical Center for they are truly demons who also ruin lives as well...Amen!

Went in last night for Occipital neuralgia which is an extreme nerve disorder where your nerve endings fire off like crazy causing horrible pain and was waiting for 3 hours for them to give me an ice pack!! They were extremely rude and didn't take my disorder seriously and no one there knew what it was. (To put the pain in perspective there is a 25% suicide rate because the pain gets so bad) They disregarded the fact that with this disorder you need a room with little/no noise and dark and they would put me under lights and next to the tv when waiting to be seen which made it even worse. They literally didn't even give me ibuprofen or Tylenol!!! and I needed was a bag of iv medicine. Left after waiting 3/4 hours since they made it worse and I wasn't seen and was left in a hallway. If you want to be spoken to horribly by nurses and not even be treated then go here!! You suck! Going to my neurologist in Boston today where they actually are smart, caring, and give a damn about their patients. (Also again I want to point out how horribly you get treated and talk to by the nurses. You would think that they go into this field to actually help people and be nice instead of give attitude and not help patients and be so horrible I can't even put into words!) Someone with Occipital Neuralgia with extremely high blood pressure for a young adult (150/87) shouldn't have to leave a hospital because they can't get treatment!!! Don't even want to give this place a star. It deserves a 0.
