I went to the main hospital today for an out-patient urgent care visit. I had a severe back injury and got excellent care. The hospital was busy, and Covid precautions are are still maintained, but the wait to be seen was not excessive and every staff person who saw me was kind and patient. I was offered (and accepted) a wheel chair for managing the distance between floors and units. It is true that parking is very expensive and that's unfortunate, as finding alternatives is not easy, but it's not a reason to avoid this hospital.

Go *anywhere* else for your medical treatment. Save yourself from the horror show haunting the last half year of my life.
A. This hospital has unspoken fees totaling hundreds per visit simply for having appointments on-site; Mine took a $50 bill to $750 simply for having an in-person appointment (a “facility” fee).
B. They will double and triple charge for the same appointments after already accepting payment. They also clearly lack attention to detail by coding the exact same procedure multiple different ways for insurance and refusing to admit any error.
You will lose hundreds to thousands of dollars more than anticipated. The call centers are useless and rude to boot.
I have switched all my care to Tufts Medical Center and have never had an issue, while I’m still being charged a 3rd time for appointments from half a year ago at BIDMC. Stay away. The quality of the care is a complete non-factor when faced with these issues. I truly wish I had just lived with the pain. A simple doctors visit has turned into a multi-month ordeal.

I unknowing was charged for a facilities fee (over $200) after my first Physical therapy appointment. The provider gave no new exercises, did not review my previous exercises, and was not prepared (the admin didn’t upload my medical records prior to the appointment). I was extremely disappointed and will not be returning.

This hospital is full of corrupt, malicious doctors who will take advantage of you, in order to make the most money from you, and use their legal power as a hospital to punish patients into compliance for any behaviour they do not like, even if it is well within the patient’s legal rights. They discriminate against people of color, and I have read stories online about horrid discrimination and abuse happening to trans people admitted to this facility.

I would NEVER go to this horror show again. I had Dr. S. Metha for a Dr and I use that term loosely. This has got to be the worst place in Boston. My Dr Metha had me on video explaining that my back hurt from having hardware in it. He was supposedly looking at my chart but WAS WRONG. NO HARDWARE. Go somewhere else. Dr S. Metha is just a you tuber looking to make money teaching due to not being able to preform the procedure. STAY FAR AWAY FROM BIDH
