I doubt there could be a worse hospital , third world countries have better.
My senior mom’s health gets worse any time she has to stay there.
Next to none personal care she didn’t even have dinner because it was dropped out of her reach.

Terrible! Awful staff. Nurses don’t seem to care. They are too busy chit chatting. Either that or on their phones. I always believed they were being over worked… Wrong! Till I was a patient there. Nurses in the recovery are so loud and anxious they have no regard of the patients. They discuss personal stuff out loud. You’ll be lucky if they give you anything to eat. All they have is milk and cheese sandwich. Have an attitude if you press the call button. I’m telling you this place has the bad nurses. Terrible terrible place. Loud with patients condition. The bathrooms are nasty. The food given to patients is awful. For breakfast I was given toast, milk, juice and cream of wheat.

I had a male ER doctor here tell me autoimmune patients are a burden on the healthcare system and to stop wasting his time since he has patients in here with “strokes, dying in the ICU.” (We were in a completely different wing, like no you're not? you're embarrassing). He should know that infections on immunosuppressants like methotrexate come on quickly and turn deadly. We can't fight off things naturally and it requires doing correct testing to see what in fact we are infected with. He dismissed me as just needing amoxicillin and refused to do any other tests as apparently they “have no X-ray, CT or MRI at that hospital.” He also claimed to send a referral to an ENT and did not actually. 12 hours later I was diagnosed at a different hospital with bacterial meningitis. Dr. PATRICK OXCIANO, looking forward to speaking soon :)

Terrible and sad state of affairs at Bby. This was once a highly regarded hospital but I suppose the administration has let this hospital fall into a ‘third world' category. It is dirty, no one bothers to clean up after patients, nursing staff are uncaring and rude, the list of issues is too long to mention. Avoid this hospital and nursing staff, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Dr. Gregory Monkewich was appointed by Burnaby hospital to place the stent for my family member who needed an emergent help. For 3 weeks he was feeding us false promises to do the procedure and at the end he never showed up. THIS CAUSED DEEP EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL TORMENT FOR MY FAMILY WHO NEEDED HELP. I've never seen him in person or heard his voice on the phone. This information was delivered to me as his words by the staff of Burnaby hospital and his assistant on the phone. Which is why CEO of Burnaby hospital is either stupid and incompetent or too callous to care because they still keep him employed. Be ready that his psychopathic assistant never answers calls and will try to gaslight you. If Burnaby hospital or any other hospital will appoint you to Dr. Gregory Monkewich be sure that this is a death sentence. STAY AWAY! RUN! Change the clinic immediately! Other facts about this hospital: - Time spent waiting in the ER – 15 hours - Doctors are absent. They sit in their rooms and don't even have 5 minutes to come and ask how the patient is doing - Nurses will torture you by their complete indifference and lack of care

ER doctor thought I was faking severe abdominal pain and lying about rectal bleeding, poked my stomach a bit, and told me to take Advil… turns out I had undiagnosed ulcerative colitis and the Advil messed up my intestines even more.

Spent 11 hrs in the emergency room puking up bile have been unable to to keep food down for 3 days and all the ER doctor gave me at the end was a completely eligible prescription for an over the counter laxative after he ordered xrays on me nurses where out right rude to most of the patients in there and the staff was completely incapable of handling the work load of a Monday morning my recommendation is to avoid at all costs.
