Made me wait 12 hours to see a doctor in the ER when I was in a lot of pain for a kidney stone. Gave me a Tylenol for the pain. If in an emergency go somewhere else

The waiting time 6-8 hours and they seem to feel that is normal. It is simply disrespectfull. You have no means to know when your time may come-the computer for that is broken.

Disgusting end of life care. My grandmother was here where she spent days in agony because the staff refused to treat her simply because she was in "end of life" care. Day 1 and half of day 2 Spent in the emergency ward, waiting on a bed to be free. We had to turn her ourselves as the staff refused to give her this care. They would "forget" to turn her every two hours. Day 2 (end of) and day 3 We were finally provided a bed, in the psych department. The man next to us kept telling us to "shut up and die" the entire night. He would tell us to "fuck off" and to "finally die" so he could be free of us. Sadly my grandmother was put into a morphine induced coma during this time. Which means the last thing she was aware of was the crazy person in the bed next to her's telling her to shut up and die. For someone who had been harassed and abused by men this was a horrible night for her which she spent crying and in fear. We stayed all night to make sure he wouldn't harm her as he proved to be violent, and the staff did absolutely nothing, even when he attempted to come over to our side of the room. They told us "engaging with him would make him worst" and never did anything to help. Day 4 We were finally placed somewhere else, they gave us a "private room" to make up for how she had been treated. At this point she was in a coma. She had already spent her last waking moments in the room with the crazy person. Wow, that's the last memory she would die with. And then it got worst. She began a fever which they refused to treat. This included refusing of giving pain killers or giving us ice so we could bring her temperature down when she was burning. We had to bring ice in ourselves or they would merely state "sorry she's in end of life care, we don't provide services for this". From Day 4 to 6 They refused to treat her fever, forgot to come give her morphine multiple times as we ended up having to go remind them. They stopped cleaning her mouth and turning her, stating she was in end of life care so it wouldn't serve her any good. When the doctor herself told us this was the basic care they would off her every two to four hours depending on which care it was. Day 6 When my grandmother finally died. We told them once and they didn't even check her pulse, didn't bother checking for sign of life, telling us we were exaggerating. We had to go shake a dead corpse for them to believe us and then one nurse actually had the guts to say "huh I guess your right she's dead" after checking her. They let my grandmother die in horrible conditions. Don't go here if you respect those you want to get better or supposedly in "end of life" care (non-existent). Had we known this, we never would have ended up here.
