I waited hours to see a doctor. There was one triage nurse in the ER that took at least 45 minutes with each patient. When I finally saw a doctor I was merely given pain medicine and then told I might have to go back and wait in the lobby. Then I was misdiagnosed and almost sent home until I recommended a CT scan because of the severe pain. I then got a CT scan and they discovered I had a large kidney stone and a major infection from it, I almost had to have surgery. I also had a tumor in my ovary causing pain. I was then admitted and spent three days there. I was never put in a room but was placed in observation with merely a curtain. One of my nurses I saw one time in 8 hours when she came and greeted me upon switching shifts with the next nurse (Brittany). The nurse(s) kept recommending pain medicine the entire time so they wouldn't have to deal with me, so basically I would pass out. I had to share one bathroom with the whole infectious floor. The bathroom was NEVER cleaned in three days. Then I didn't see a doctor for nearly two days. I was waiting on the urologist to be released and his colleague showed up, was very confrontational with me just for asking to see the urologist to better understand what was going on with me. This hospital is under staffed with doctors. The food was god awful. The stereotypes about hospital food are true. I was fed instant mash potatoes with practically every meal. This was the worst hospital experience I have ever had.

Go to this hospital if you want get a new strain of whatever, and pick up some other new crud. C-Diff and MRSA. Run and don't look back! You've been warned that this hospital will make you sicker than when you went in... Patient care is horrible also

When we first got here I’m the trauma unit they were really good but the longer my son stayed the worse it got. After surgery on his hip he laid in his bed 3 days without getting him up. Laziness on physical therapy that wouldn’t come by and the staff there that wouldn’t get him up. It took me to question it before someone finally did something. They did not keep him very clean. When he had an accident peeing on the floor nobody even came and mopped it so we just stuck to the floor while waking across it. I hope our family never has to have an experience with this hospital again. I’m so disappointed with my sons recovery. The surgeon was great and the nurse Courtney was extra good but all in all not a good experience.

I had a wonderful experience yesterday and today. On Wednesday I had Precious was so friendly and did a great job during the registration for out patient services. She saw me after my EKG and stopped to ask me how it went. Then Thursday the endoscopy department and the team who helped me with my bone biopsy were so kind and warm. Making the experience as comfortable as possible. Dr. Lish explained what would happen and then checked with me often to make sure I stayed as comfortable as possible.

My sister was seen in the ER because she was hemorrhaging and past out and collapsed. The ER did nothing for her. They just told her to see the doctor that has been treating her. She had another episode and went to a different ER and she needed a blood transfusion. My sister could have died because of the doctor in the ER that treated her improperly.

STAY AWAY! This hospital has really take a turn for the worse. This is the most outdated hospital imaginable. Overcrowded, no private rooms available, no bathrooms in the rooms, people scattered everywhere behind rows and rows and rows of curtains who all have share a common bathroom while admitted. The bathrooms are not cleaned. OLD OLD OLD outdated TV’s from the 90’s remain. No windows in these rooms. This is a hospital meant for prisoners, not civilians. Patients throwing up every turn of the corner (who also chare this bathroom). The ER is so outdated with only curtained areas.
If you are admitted for emergency surgery, good luck if the trauma unit will add you to their schedule. Food and water will be withheld while waiting and waiting and waiting. 48 hours of no food or water…no matter to them.
I must say the only thing that was good were the nurses, lab techs and radiologist. They all worked hard and were very nice and helpful throughout my terrible ordeal at Chandler Regional. I have PTSD from this place!
