The worst hospital. The ladies at the front are very rude. Would not treat my son for his asthma. Dr didn’t even check him. He has a standing order on his file to see him right away. Disgrace

I went to emergency about 5:45 pm on the 8th of November. I was sent for xray quickly then sent to waiting room C. I sat there with a bleeding thumb that needed a dozen stitches Until about 11 pm.
I went and asked how much longer it could be and they couldn’t find my file. I watched many patients come and go with minor complaints. I finally got called called in and was out of there a little after midnight. Very unorganized emergency room. Not likely to go back there. I think going a half hour drive to Abbotsford hospital would have been a lot faster. I would give zero stars if I could

Sat and waited for hours just to be told to take a painkiller. Got completely dismissed by the nurses and doctor who ignored the severe pain I'd came in with. Completely useless, nurses sat around and argued over who'd done what or hadn't done what and gossiped about how nothing was being run.

The hospital may not be the newest however I have only ever had top notch medical service there. I have been to emergency, surgery and diagnostics, they have been great.

Developed a lingering case of pneumonia during my second unfortunate run in with covid that just hot worse and worse. I use to get it a lot due to my crappy lungs. Was unable to drive myself there due to not being able to stay concious. I had been basically hanging upside down all day off the edge of my bed coughing and horking up everything i could in my lungs; trying not to suffocate. I am practiced in this due to getting it a lot in the past. I had become so exhausted and weak and was losing my ability to cough or constrict my lungs to bring up all the junk so my friend carted me over to Chilliwack Hospital. My chest was so sore it was a chore to draw IN air. They took my oxygen levels and it was at 95 or something. Normal and not a big deal, right? Not one person took into account all the work i'd been doing to get the gunk out. I was too weak to continue and needed help. Thats why i was there. I was left in the waiting room for about an hour and was then brought in. Then they left me back there in a chair for TWO MORE HOURS. About 45 minutes- 1 hour in i started gargling and trying to cough, but i couldnt. I coughed and coughed and was unable to bring anything up. I was woozy and dizzy from trying so hard. I started to tear up from fear and tried calling for help. Nothing. So i sat and waited, taking short breaths and expelling them as fast and harshly as i could to get as much as i could out, regardless of the fact they were becoming less effective. When the doctor arrives, he takes a short listen to my back- im talking two breaths here, and says "you possibly have a small bronchial infection but your oxygen level was fine." I look to him, and i literally gurgle "i can't breath, ive been coughing it all out- i have pneumonia, please help!" Only to be told "You are being dramatic. You are fine. Go home and take tylenol." My friend had been waiting for me and when i climbed in to the car i did my best to tell them what happened. I was too tired to cough. To exhausted to even breath. I told them to take me home so i could sleep and try a walk in. They said "Hell no" and took me to another hospital about an hour away and when i got there my oxygen was at 70 and i was losing conciousness. I was hooked up to oxygen and my friend took care of things and made sure they knew what was happening. Got proper care there and they were horrified when my x-rays came back to know i wasnt treated :). CH didnt even bother to look. It wasnt even that busy. I was pretty much falling asleep at the next hospital, and when i breathed it sounded like i was blowing bubbles in chocolate milk. I was sent away 4 hours later with heavy antibiotics, steroids, and the haunting "she would have drowned tonight" from two nurses gossiping as they smack talked this hospital. Skip town and go to another one. This happened 1-2 years ago. Doubtful they improved.

dont go if you can help it… I had surgery there down in the basement I was shocked there was barely any equipment and when I left after being stapled together I ended up bleeding out… This hospital is horrible. The staff is not friendly at all and they look like they're bankrupt. Please if you can help it stay away
