Went into ICU for a heart inversion last Friday.. could not have been better.. the staff were wonderful and treated me with utmost care and attention.. the procedure was carried out professionally and we also had some laughs.. it was so much better than I thought it was going to be.. I will be recommending this facility to everyone.. thank you so much.. I would entrust my loved ones and myself to your care anytime..

Do not expect timely, professional or empathetic care at this hospital. Don’t expect appropriate communication either. What you can expect – when you are finally attended to – is to be treated with rude, dismissive staff whose sole purpose is to move you back out the door you came in whether your medical need has been addressed or not. Absolutely terrible hospital.

if you go to the ER 9 times outta 10 you will hear the triage talking about you and everyone else in the waiting room at an obnoxiously loud level. Most doctors dismiss you if you aren’t visibly bleeding out. i went in once at 16 got an ultrasound was told i had a large left ovarian cyst (12 cm) buttttt the doctor said his wife’s was bigger so there’s no need to operate…. ? he told me to wait for it to pop. so i did, i waited from February to the end of May before going to the ER again. i was in the worst pain, i was puking, shaking etc… i had to leave work and cab straight to emergency. on arrival i had an emergency ultrasound done by a doctor who informed me i had a âmonster cystâ which he continuously mistook as my bladder…. very professional (this is doctor number 2) he informed me that he spoke to the gynaecologist and they wanted to operate with in the next week. Dr. Robertson performed my laparoscopic cyst removal and did a good job, my recovery was speedy there were no complications. butttttt! i still am in excruciating pain! see, what i forgot to mention was the doctors and ultrasound techs all wrote on my file and informed me that i had a RIGHT ovarian cyst and all my pain is on the right side so makes sense right? wrong… after cutting me open they found it was a LEFT ovarian cyst… so W. T. F. did they see on my right ovary? and why is my exclusively my right side in pain? i have no clue and neither do the doctors i guess cause i’ve had 3 stomach x-rays and more ultrasounds then i can count and the problem has still yet to be resolved. they claim severe constipation but i’ve been on laxatives for almost two weeks and guess what… horrible pain is just getting worse!
so in all, my experience at chilliwack general has been horrible! i am sitting a week away from being 17 and now have chronic unexplainable abdominal pains… at least refer me to another doctor/hospital if you don’t know how to handle it. this is far too stressful.

The nurse my fiance had over night was by far the worst nurse I have ever experienced. Completely rude and disrespectful.. he had a heart attack and my daughter was scared to leave him.. when we stayed she called me a bad mother and told me that I wasn’t looking after the best interest of my daughter. We live out of town and I don’t drive so if something were to happen we couldn’t even get here to say goodbye. She tried to kick us out in the middle of the night. For the rest of her shift she treated my fiance like dirt, refused pain meds, woke him up at 6 am but turning on all the lights and yelling his name. Brittany from chilliwack hospital is the most disrespectful nurse I have ever met!

One nurse at registration was quite rude. Not helpful whatsoever and was quite rude when asking questions. Either than that, the experience as a whole wasn’t too bad. However, her service was so bad that it set the whole experience off.
