One clearly unhappy nurse made it her mission to be relentlessly miserable. Luckily the rest of the staff were pleasant and professional.

This hospital saved my life. I have been to the Ottawa General Hospital days before and their triage shamed me out the door. Collingwood doc diagnosed me with a pleural effusion in 2 minutes, removed 3.5 ltrs of fluid out of my chest.

Terrible wait time for apt that was booked over months in advance. I came 2 hours away for my shoulder. Been waiting over an hour for my apt. That was supposed to be for 1:00 pm no nurse or doctor couldn’t even tell me they were running behind. I totally understand being understaffed. But we all have things going on in life. And now my day is behind by 2 hours.

Fantastic hospital. Wait time online said 4hrs. We got in a 7pm and left by 10. 3hrs, received xrays and cast. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Well done.

I took my 11 yr old son to this hospital it was horrible.
We waited 2 hrs in a see and treat room where we didn’t once see a nurse. My son had a respiratory infection and was coughing every 15 -30 seconds maximum and couldn’t put food or drink into him because he was coughing so much. The doctor finally came in to see my son after 2 hrs. He took out his stethoscope put it on my sons back asked him to breath in and out 1 time and that was it. He then leaned against the wall crossed his arms and said I was waist if his time and he couldn’t do anything to help us and said “ you can try cough medicine but it won’t do anything so I don’t really know what to tell you. Go home mom there’s nothing we can do” I explained that my son was born with under developed lungs and he can’t stop coughing and can’t put fluids into himself which the dr. Could also see himself and I asked if there was anything we could do to help his cough. The dr repeated he previous statement and told me to go home. So I left I then called a virtual paediatrician that a Telehealth nurse told me about and the virtual paediatrician told me he needed a puffer and immediately sent in a prescription to my pharmacy and he is now finally breathing better and I have finally seen improvement.
Collingwood hospital and their doctors are a lawsuit waiting to happen. Their beside manner is disgusting and they treat people like they are less when they are looking for help. This is not the first time I have had problems with them. However I have learned my lesson I will take the chance and leave town to find a decent ER for my children. They should be ashamed of themselves. They have massive egos and no bedside manner.

Dirty, run down, ridiculous wait times, and horrible nurses in the ER. The nurses in the ER and the wait times are the worst and bring the whole place down which is sad Becuse there are some decent drs and nurses in the hospital.
