Just had a hip replacement at EKRH Very grateful to Dt Vaile, the OR staff and nurses Maggie and Vickie for their wonderful care overnight. We feel very lucky to have such a great facility to provide exemplary care.

I was hydrated after suffering from extreme sickness on our journey from Ottawa to Vancouver Island. I was very well looked after with little delay after arrival. Only when I was able to drink juice without vomiting was I allowed to leave which seemed sensible. All staff involved were courteous and had a sense of humour. Many thanks. This event occurred on Tuesday 4th July. My Ontario Health Card # may be useful in identifying the occasion for you. 6562-698-230-XY. Thank you again for such really great service - I am as fit as a fiddle now! Hugh Carter

This is the most useless hospital my family has ever been to. Was in tonight because my husband most definitely broke his ankle. His ankle is the size of a tennis ball and he can't walk on it, he felt nauseous and light headed from the pain, he almost fainted and had a hard time breathing when it happened. There was 0 people in the emerg waiting. We were the only ones waiting for care. We waited for over an hour and a half and were still the only ones needing care in that time frame. Everytime we looked in the back, all the doctors and nurses were just standing on their phones or sitting around literally not doing anything. We left, administration told us to let triage know we were leaving so we did. The triage nurse said they were doing a shift change and that's why we werent seen. In an HOUR AND A HALF. Not 1 doctor in emerg? Seriously? How is it even emergency when noones there to help. This wasn't our only bad experience. My 7 year old had a clean buckle break in his wrist this passed summer, we came to the hospital, the triage nurse felt his wrist and said he was fine and it was just sprained maybe and sent us home, we didn't even get to see an actual doctor. I have some medical background and i knew it was broken, so the next day i took my son to the urgent care clinic instead and he was x-rayed right away and it came back broken and we were sent to get a cast on ASAP. Ive read the reviews for this hospital and all of them seem extremely similar to what we've experienced. Not many positives in there at all, all negative. Extremely unimpressed with the lack of care, organization, and neglect/assumptions from triage. And the floor had garbage all over it.

Just went through an extremely painful event that required surgery . The staff was amazing from the Nightingales to my Surgical team , you made it bearable . How you keep those smiles beaming and attitudes so uplifting with load you carry amazed me . I enjoyed the conversations and professionalism with each and every one of you . My deepest thanks One more Ensure and it's lights out . It was an exhausting week . SGB

Most ridiculous experience ever. On multiple occasions I have visited this hospital for many different reasons, all with different levels of severity. . Not one of those occasions have been dealt with in a professional, friendly or helpful way.
When I was in pre term labour with my first child the staff traumatized me after my contractions stopped and I was doing well.
When my second child was born and in an incubator they left me to run the machines and alarms from the machines instead of helping me.
When my second child was bit by a pit bull and was bleeding all over the beautiful entrance that they spent thousands building they left us waiting because they didn’t have a bed apparently. We ended up going home and fixing her up ourselves because they wouldn’t even give us the supplies to stop the bleeding and clean the wound.
When my oldest child was having some very terrible symptoms from mental health complications the nurse, instead of providing us with potentially lifesaving services, said âwe have better services earlier in the dayâ. After waiting 2 hours to speak for 2 minutes they again made us wait.
Overpriced food, Under staffed, Rude Greeter, and a complete inability to help people who need them the most.

Worst hospital or even medical Center I’ve ever been to! And unfortunately I’ve been to a few, the words I can best use to describe this place is corruption, overworked staff, understaffed, and abuse of power and position! This place should be shut down until a full investigation can be preformed and measures taken to fix this place so they can properly take care of the intake of patients that they already can not manage. The best part of every experience I have at this forsaken place of doom, is the checkin and that poor woman has a battle with her computer half the time, literally 20 minutes to checkin because of the poor woman’s struggle with her computer, 20 minutes after the 10 minutes at the emergency desk, 30 minutes and they haven’t even thought about helping you yet.

THIS HOSPITAL SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN A REGIONAL HOSPITAL. They can’t even handle the local people let a lone the region. The so called Doctors in charge of running this hospital should ALL be investigated !!!!

Overworked staff they always look stressed out and running around they never have enough help this place is run horribly the equipment is broken none of the wheelchairs my grandmother ever uses has breaks that work properly this place is a death trap and moving Tyler your facilities and disrepair. Walls have chunks of paint missing and gouge marks and splintered baseboards curtains with stains that don’t fit or are different lengths and different colors. This is a clown hospital. With all that money they pull in from their lottery foundation you’d think they could make the place at least presentable… And hire more staff so my grandma doesn’t have to wait 3 hours for a glass of water… Or 2 hours for a clean diaper…
