Was Into Emergency on Oct. 28/2022. Good service received in a timely fashion.

If I could give this a zero I would. Bloody rags, blood, vomit, food all over the emergency room. Employees to lazy to get off phone to clean. Left without treatment, a doctor and nurse both proceeded to harass me on the phone for leaving an unsanitary, unsafe, disgusting envrimonet. The people who work in the emergency department should be ashamed of the conditions they leave it in. This is literally everything wrong with nova scotias health care in one place.

Terrible wait times, not friendly staff out front.

If your misdiagnosed in the ER and your condition turns life threatening beware you could be discharged on purpose. Records falsified to cover it all up.

The most pathetic place on Earth. It should be called the Dartmouth DEATH HOSPITAL. The nurses have no compassion or bedside manner whatsoever. They do not treat you with respect or care, you’re just a number. Even after having been admitted 16 times since 2014, for very serious health concerns, if your vital signs are normal at the time you come in, they do not even consider the fact that they can change very quickly, which they have in the past, requiring me to need oxygen among other help. The doctors are decent for the most part, but the nursing staff needs some MAJOR TRAINING on how to determine someone’s state of health or level of pain, regardless of vital signs. They are arrogant, immature, conceited, and do NOTHING to help you. I wouldn’t take my DOG HERE!!

Second time having to visit. Both times took about five hours from arrival to departure which isn't too bad considering I wasn't in critical condition. Saw Dr Staple who made sure to get me seen immediately by an ENT off-site and I appreciated his efforts. Dr Staple was most reassuring and knowledgeable. The other staff I came into contact with were all very pleasant and helpful. The staff at the first desk were very helpful and popped over to patients who were waiting from time to time to see if they needed anything. They were particularly attentive to a sweet elderly lady which was really touching. I hope all my experiences will be like this quite frankly.

The staff are doing the very best they can. They seem to have very good working relationships with each other, and it shows. And they show caring and professionalism toward their patients. Thanking the folks in Emergency, in particular. I observed the triage nurse very effectively and compassionately diffuse anger from a patient's family. Staff are clearly responding to the challenges using all resources available to them.

The mice epidemic has taken off for the hospital. There isn't a lounge area for patients. Little to nill on the rehab or physiotherapy front.
