My sister has been at Edith Cavell for about eight months. She tells me often how much she loves the food, the activities and the staff. She is the happiest she has been in a very long time. The staff have been amazing with her and having her there has taken a huge amount of stress off of me.

If you hate someone send them to Edith Cavell, if you love them never send them here. The lack of compassion and care from the management for the clients and thier staff is obvious. The staff do thier best but they are pushed and pushed by management. Please avoid at all costs!

This place is awful. People are left to urinate themselves and just put against a wall all day. Sandy in recreation is absolutely evil and forces residents to do what she wants them to do. There's zero respect or kindness given by upper management. Bless all the health care aids for doing the best they can in an extremely toxic environment. This would be the last place on the planet I would ever put my loved ones.

We are sp appreciative of the love and care the staff provide at Edith Cavell for my aging father. Their gentleness and warmth they provide him and to my mom when she is allowed to visit is amazing. Yes, it's an older facility, but it's filled with a warmth and love that does not feel institutionalized at all. And for that...I am grateful. Thank you Staff at Edith Cavell... you are loved and appreciated.

Still have nightmares about my Mom in this place. Staff do the least possible and if a patient is unable to ask for basic needs, they will be ignored and die!!

The worst place to place a loved one. No heat in the rooms. Staff not attending to the residents. (My father was there and had not had his pads changed for a very long time. He was soaked waist to ankle laying on the bed with no sheets or blankets and no heat in the room). I pulled my father from there only discover that he had fallen and his hip was broken (unreported to us);found this out when we took him to the hospital!
Dont put your loved ones in there.

The nursing staff seems adequate , the aids seem ok .the cooks need to learn to cook not serve dog food as some residents call it
And the heat in the building is atrocious these are sick elderly residents who need heat on not sitting in their chairs with winter jackets and blankets on them

My Mom recently resided in Edith Cavell Care Centre. Her stay was not long as she was palliative but I was very impressed with the care my Mom received. The staff were also very compassionate & supportive to me during this time and I appreciated that so much.

The manager Charlotte can go F** herself. What a joke of a human being. Hate that I even have to give it 1 star🙄
