    Had a great experience at Epworth Richmond. The heating in the room was a bit high and I struggled to sleep. The nurses were good. However, the head of the nurse station Charles Bonavia went beyond expectation. He escorted my family and myself to the car. He showed a lot of empathy and compassion. The food was better than other hospitals.

    It is a hospital where you want to die, the people who work there are very bad, they have even dared to hit me as a patient, I do not recommend it at all, it is more if you want to die, it is the place that I recommend there are nurses who do not or who do not seem to like it a lot of work with patients if they ask me which one I would say with their name I am from Colombia but the medical service here disappoints me and what is more I think it is better in my country and I have never used it. I have been in this hospital for a year and the truth is that I have had very few good moments or nothing at all, if I were to put it that way, that is why I resorted to writing here because Internet users read anything before having a service and it is a good option to say it

    I have been a doctor for 65 years, and have formally investigated hospitals in every state. As an inpatient of Epworth Richmond I have been very impressed. I have never visited or investigated a better hospital. My room was first class, as were the medical, nursing and ancillary staff. As an experienced investigator I didn’t find anything that needed improvement, and I would cheerfully return at any time I need hospital care.

    I agree with the previous remarks. Unless you are a football player or rich you get treated like dirt. Was not impressed and would not recommend this hospital to anyone.

    Negligent patient care and communication from my recent experience. Understaffed and inexperienced nurses who overlook important patient details which lead to inexcusable outcomes. Gaps in ward procedures and handovers This is the second time I have had a negative experience. Surely not a coincidence.

    I was a patient on the 7th Floor of Epworth Richmond from 5 to 11 June, 2023. My extremely positive experience started at the admission desk and continued until I was discharged. The nursing staff were very caring, highly professional and friendly. They helped to make my immediate post operative experience bearable and the remainder of my stay a positive experience. My room was spacious and very clean and I was able to choose meals from a variety of options. The cafe on the 2nd floor serves good coffee and the food options cater to most people's needs. My discharge on a Saturday was faultless. My surgeon. was excellent as were the rest of his team. If necessary, I would return to Epworth, Richmond confident that I would receive the expertise and care needed when having major surgery. My sincere thanks to all who looked after me. CL

    After my son's operation at Epworth Richmond, he didn't have a ward to go to. He slept overnight in the recovery area outside of the theatre rooms. (Paid $1400 for 1 night). Had to pick him up from level 2 imaging, whilst been hurried from downstairs patient pick up area. No phone calls from nursing staff of when we were able to see him. Nurse's compared to public hospital were not as compassionate and no communication between nursing staff and reception. Staff at Public hospitals are more friendly and compassionate towards the patients and their families. It felt like the patients and the families were a burden to the nursing staff. As part of the nursing training, they should teach patient care and if they are not happy working there to get out. The hospital might look nice but the people working there are not. Slade Pharmacy was more organised and helpful. Maybe you need to have a certain surname or status to get the care and attention.

    Don't try and pick up a patient up here. Worse discharge commutations and instructions provided on pick up. Ridiculous. Plus no parking around. On pick up the hospital staff sent me to three reception areas in the hospitals maze. I'd choose another hospital.
