Staff at Evergreen v kind, doing their best, short staffed but trying. Not many activities and what there is is mainly for about 88 year old women, so if you don't fit that category, there is nothing. Nothing for anybody on weekends and sometimes week days with no activity. No lounge area except 3 pieces of furniture on edge of dining room. Nowhere comfortable area on 1st floor for residents to watch TV together, eg, a major sporting event. Televisions are in opposite ends of dining room with nothing but a few hard dining room chairs or wheelchairs. So if not in wheelchair no comfortable chairs. No movie events or happy hours they have in some other public care homes. No bus trips, no little store for residents to feel normal. Very sad for residents who have hardly any thing to do. If you have severe dementia, dont know where you are, you will be ok. Majority of rooms are 4 beds, no personal furniture allowed as no space. Only communal bathrooms for 4 room residents, no door, just a curtain, absolutely no privacy, very degrading. For people who have worked very hard their whole lives but can't afford the $16,000 per month for private care, this is what you get in BC. If you can't pay $16,000 per month you have no choice, especially if coming from hospital - you will be rudely told if you say no to this care home, our public hospital will charge you well over $1,000.00 a day for hospital bed, yes over $1,000.00 per day. So you have no choice, a bit of lip service about possibly moving later but they know this will upset the patient/resident so rarely happens. Do you see our govt building more care homes, LOL.

Absolutely terrible. Next to no stimulation for elderly. Virtually no supervision of residents. This place would drive anyone to an early grave.

Absolute terrible. Worse than a dog kennel. I would not wish this place on an enemy let alone a loved one.

I tried to call using the number Google provided. And lions gate threatened to call cops on me. What’s the number!

People are left too long in soiled diapers and the food is awful!
