This vintage structure built in the 60’s needs a major renovation! It was upsetting to learn from a staff member that the building structure is full of Asbestos. Outdated heating and ventilation which is extremely uncomfortable during the hot summer months. No walk-in showers as most other LTC facilities have for the comfort of all Residents – in addition to Air Conditioning that everyone can benefit from. Our loved ones do not deserve this outdated and inappropriate environment. This is so unacceptable!!

Stifling hot today! It was so bad it was difficult to breath while wearing a mask and entering our loved one’s room. Something needs to be done because Extendicare does not care about the Residents. Write a letter to Alberta’s Health Minister.

During the Heat Wave it has been uncomfortably hot in this Facility built in 1964. Very poor ventilation. This can have serious effects on the elderly. Absolutely shocked to hear that there is air conditioning in staff offices and their lunch room. The manager cares more about herself and staff than the residents who deserve better! All about budget and Profit! This is so unacceptable, SHAME ON EXTENDICARE!

I have to say this is one of the worst care homes in Edmonton! Do not leave your loved one in their hands..it's depressing and dirty.staff are always short ,huge turnover and not caring at all.some try but it's not okay In my opinion paying to have your loved one not taken care of properly is not what anyone wants! There are plenty of other care homes to choose from.

This home is the worst! Please do not put your family member there. As our family had to fight for basic care. Getting fluid offered and getting her changed. Roof leaking in kitchen never fixed. All for profit no care.

Would not leave a loved one here under any circumstances. Significant shortage of staff, and minimal stimulation for residents. Care for PROFIT!
