Absolutely a disgrace to the health system, the doctors just try to push you out they aren’t very concerned about you and what is actually happening. And their bedside manners are rude. Going to an emergency room in Fort at. John is a joke, you are better off driving somewhere else to get better care.

Do not even take your pet to this facility, it’s a disgrace to the medical industry, the staff are rude and inconsiderate, they don’t return calls, including the inpatient manager ( Neil Evans) he should not be in this position, even a car salesman will return calls, I truly believe that the reviews as well as the hospitals service falls on deaf ears, that seams to be the nature of the socialized medical service.

It’s a complete disgrace to the community, unfortunately the people that work there do not care of the hospitals reputation, they just collect there paychecks, it has the biggest turn over of nurses and so called doctors, the northern residents deserve more than what they have for sure.

Extreme lack of qualified staff, it’s more like a palliative care facility, my father was hooked to a empty bottle of Oxygen, then found an injection needle stuck in his belly, the food is horrible, not many physicians want to come to this remote area, so you see a lot of undergrads with a degree from other countries there, and not many stay very long, so there is a big turn over. I won’t even mention the food, avoid going at all cost.

The Hospital building is fine, but the quality of care is sub standard, great lack of compassion, combined with lack of highly qualified physicians, has been this way for centuries, better off going to a vet clinic!

Fort st john hospital is ran by Northern health, the worst company possible, with no care for the patients, just about the money they make. Send people home to pass away, just cuz they feel the people were only after narcotics that they don't offer. And Northern health response to that is definitely nothing short of absolutely nothing helpful what so ever.

We went to the hospital this morning as my husband needed a minor procedure after he had surgery last week. He was dreading the wait in Emergency. But we were pleasantly surprised and were triaged, registered and had the procedure in under an hour. The nurse who did the procedure was very kind and professional. The triage person and registration lady were quick and professional. We were so impressed with the service. Thank you very much to all the staff for your efficiency and professionalism.

The Fort St John Hospital is an excellent, state of the art facility that has the potential to offer exception service and care for the residents. The birthing unit is excellent and the team in it are friendly and ready to help. The MRI staff are excellent also The lab staff are even excellent But the emergency department is extremely bad - the staff who are in it are clearly over worked, stressed and are unable to offer proper care. The wait times for the lab and MRI are to long. I don't blame the staff for the bad service. I blame NHA for not creating enough incentives for people to work here. The cost of living is to high for even nurses. Not enough is being done to make people want to be here. And it causes everyone to suffer

The people of the North are very fortunate to have a facility of this magnitude, but the staff are so undereducated, but this seems to be the way of the north and the residents continue to suffer from this system, but it is what it is, so sad, and so many lives have been lost because of the inadequate system, this seems to be an acceptable situation for the residents.

Staff will let people with broken lower limbs walk to their room. Triage nurses roll their eyes and sigh when you tell them your symptoms. I listened to a poor elderly woman cry and beg to be taken off of a backboard for almost an hour before a nurse came and took her off of it. Doctor misdiagnosed my fractured femur as a torn ACL. And offered me an advil. Yeah, this hospital sure is the epitome of Northern Health. You're better off going to a witch doctor than coming here.
