A great ER nurse on the night shift is Robin. That's all of her name that I know. She's excellent with her nursing and I'm so grateful she was my nurse. If I had a problem I would tell her and it got fixed. She deserves a recognition.

My first experience with Good Shepherd was in 79′ with the birth of my first child. In 82′ when I had my second, they had completly remodeled the labor area to a private room, but you still had to deliver in another room. Good Shepherd has grown so much now that I can barely remember what it used to look like. They have a regular ER and a minor ER. If you are there for just an illness, you may have a long waiting time. My husband was there for chest pain and he was immediately taken back and all the nurses knew what to do and did it fast. He was admitted and tests were quickly ran. The cleaning staff could have done a better job. I never saw his bathroom cleaned. For 2 days dirty towels stayed in the floor. They do have a patient advocate who you can contact if there is a problem. Good Shepherd has improved greatly through the years, but some area’s could be tweeked. It seemed some of nurses were over worked and understaffed. Between the two hospitals in Longview, it’s a draw.
