I worked here as a practicum student and was horrified from the moment I stepped into the ward. There were mouse traps all over my patient's rooms and rooms were filthy. I witnessed a group of patients parked in front of the television with the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest playing- I am not kidding. When I commented that this was inappropriate, I was told that "they don't know what is going on anyways". Patients were underfed, underwatered, not bathed often enough or kept clean. Most of the staff were rushed, had excessive workloads and it showed in their care. If you love someone, please do not bring them to this place.

You know those places that you see in the movies and say “How is that possible?” This is one of those places. What I saw would make me choose death over living that way. The look of desperation in the eyes of those that still had some semblance of consciousness of where they were was heart breaking. The zombies (drugged and blank) were just as disturbing. I wasn’t there to visit, dealing with an external issue. I was told to not trust the residents by staff.

Horrible place, my mother is here as she is waiting for a retirement place elsewhere as she was placed here by the jubilee hospital as she can’t go home due to needing extra care, she gets bathed once a week and the nurses and very rude, her personal items and cloths are being stolen, unexceptable, And not much is done about it. Disgusting place, food is subpar as well.

Senior staff are often dismissive of concerns brought to their attention and habitually make excuses or attempt to change the subject.
