11 days in hospital due to facial trauma and reconstruction. Excellent care form all docs, nurses and staff. So friendly and kind. The hospital is so over worked, yet excellent care delivered! Thank you

I had a great experience at Hamilton general hospital my nurses were excellent nurse Karen and nurse ALLY thank you for treating me like a son and a brother you made me feel at ease my operation was a few years ago but I will never forget how well you looked after me I hope you are all doing well from AL MENZIES

My father successfully underwent major surgery here. This went well. He was making good progress afterwards, but started feeling ill. He told the nurse about it, but nothing was done. A day later, I informed a nurse about his feeling unwell. Less than 24 hours later, we got a call in the middle of the night that his condition had worsened and he needed emergency surgery. Since then, he has been in and out of ICU twice, ended up needing yet another surgery, and yesterday we were called to a family meeting where we were told there was nothing else medically they can do for him. And this is just the major occurances from his stay at the General.

Wait times are absurd!
Had a appointment for the fracture clinic for 11:45am
Didn’t get seen or talked to by anyone until around 2:50-3:00. Pm
Then a “student “ came in for about 10 mins asked me questions, and left to go and talk with the doctor.
As I was waiting to be called I noticed people are checking IN AFTER I have and being SEEN by a doctor before me. So obviously I asked as I was confused, and felt forgotten about.. and the response I got was there are three different doctors.
It still does not make sense to me that I’ve got a appointment for 1145 and not be seen till 3 ( not even by a doctor) … I don’t understand how this place works. U get appointments, and you would honestly think you where in the ER department… figure it out ! horrible experience 10/10 DO NOT recommend this horrible hospital. And not to mention , good luck finding parking

Worst experience ever! Took my senior mother for heart surgery so nothing to eat after midnight in the hospital at 11am to get ready etc and they notified us at almost 5pm that it was cancelled!!! They ran outta time! Outrageous unbelievable experience ever! Stop overbooking I guess 2 heart valves not working isn’t that bad to them? How about compensation for gas, over an hour drive, parking and our time! Horrible service!!

Fantastic nursing staff. My hat is off for them. Very polite, knowledgeable and ready to help. All of them work hard and work as team.
