I feel so much anger at this hospital. They really dropped the ball with my Mom – twice. Was it because was in her 80s? I think the elderly really get shafted here. She was treated well in ER but after that it was all downhill. The first hospitalization 40 days, not one sponge bath or shower and no one ever washed her hair. Can you freaking imagine? Besides that, no one ever really looked at her body. Her legs were a disaster but they were never examined as the crisis in the ER involved BP and kidney function. As a result of the neglect, she had to have her legs debrided and was sent home with next to know support arranged although she needed daily dressing changes. The second 40 day hospitalization was worse. I can’t go in that building. I’ve told my husband if I ever have an emergency I would prefer to take my chances anywhere else besides that place. I see no point pouring any more money into that dump. It should be torn down. A new facility should be built at U of M. It should be under U of M management. Forget this stupid notion of politicians running health care.

It’s a total shame what our country and Provincial government has done to our health care system. The system is so broken I’m not sure it could be repaired.
The Doctors, nurses and HCA are so beaten up by the system it’s sad. Everyone is exhausted and so short staffed. That being said the hospital is filthy, I mean disgusting. The hospital needs to be shut down and cleaned. No wonder so many people get infections after surgery. I would like to see an inspection done on cleanliness. They do it for restaurants why not hospitals.

A nurse in radiology, Joanna Watt is the worst ever person I've seen. Making racist remarks in front of an immigrant family! Shame of this called “nurse".

Brought in very sick 4 year old to Children's Emergency. 10+ hours later, still haven't seen a doctor. No one should be put through this, especially sick children!

Vile place!!!!!! Childrens hospital is Filthy, corrupt & they are throwing contagious kids into crammed rooms with children who are not sick with something viral. The Refusal to move sick child into isolation. Now I am getting sick & so is my child. It is 100000% their fault!!!!! If you want to be treated humanely I suggest anywhere but HSC childrens hospital.

My mother had a stroke while visiting from BC, although the Doctors in Neuro surgery saved my Mother's life, the after care she received was all geared to get her " stable " for transfer, the Stroke left her with extreme vertigo, so has no balance and the motion of moving her head makes her throw up. Knowing this they tried to force us to transfer her back to BC 2 weeks after a Sub Oxcipital Craniotomy. Even suggesting Driving in stages, absolutely unacceptable, she can't get out of bed without throwing up but you suggest DRIVING? Then came the "Transfer" threats, again, NOT STABLE FOR TRANSFER ! Dec 22 we were forced to bring her home, because they could not guarantee a facility within the City. With no support or tools, or Training , we brought her home, started declining 2 days in, couldn't keep food or meds down, no balance to get to a commode unassisted, Called 911 today 5 days after they said she was GOOD TO GO, sent her back to HSC, Emergency, even the paramedics said they had no business releasing someone in her condition, not to mention the extreme stress on a STROKE victim, and the family who is ill equipped to deal with her immediate health requirements. I have no word as of yet regarding her condition, but I swear to God, if she is worse off now than she was when they heavy handedly forced her out, rest assured, Lawsuit WILL FOLLOW !
