Some days the blood lab can be busy, but they manage to complete your test fairly quickly. Very grateful that this centre exists in my city. I know others have to travel a couple hours to get to a cancer centre that comparable. Cancer is a devastating disease, and the staff and medical professionals at the JCC are top notch. I have been going on a regular basis for the last two years, had radiation, chemo and a stem cell transplant. They fight like hell for you.

My gratefulness towards this hospital is beyond any words. Spent many weeks there in /22 and cannot say enough about the caring staff and of course my Doctors Kelly and Bogash and my nurses.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I lost a relative to cancer last month. She did not receive proper care, proper treatment or surgery. When they saw the mass, her liver was clear of mets and only one lymph node was involved. Dr. Ruo was supposed to operate and never even got back to my sister-in-law. She was under the care of Dr. Oren Levine. She twice went to emergency because she felt so unwell. The day before she died, they sent her home. She lives alone. I will never get over what she experienced and how neglected she was. We are so bereft. If you love someone, do not send them to Juravinski for cancer care or to emergency there. On the day she died, she went back to emergency, was unresponsive by the time she arrived and the emergency doctor basically put her into a bay to die with no comfort measures. Shame on you nurses and doctors!! The only positive thing I can say was that Dr. Miller, a different emergency doctor came in and gave her blood, fluids and had a respirologist come in to get her on oxygen. He ordered blood work and gave her fentanyl so at least when she passed a few hours later, she was not in pain. Thank you Dr. Miller for caring for this poor lady who should not have died.

Now that Charles Juravinski has passed, I bet he is rolling in his grave now that he can see the TRUTH behind all the lies and mistreatment. Big bosses and Management only care about their bonus --- not patient care. It's time to stop sweeping issues under the rug and time to take a look at the management team. If you would like to increase team moral and retain staff, try hiring employees with the proper credentials to do the job, not the ones who flirt with the boss, put up with unfair treatment and treat your staff like dogs. For years, work load has been an issue. Instead of hiring staff, positions are left unfilled or new hires are told, the person before you could do the job. This is bull and the reason why your turnover rate is terrible. Take a look at your employee "my voice matters" completion rate. Nobody has the time to complete the survey and a majority feel it doesn't make a difference anyway. Staff would rather be quiet then tell the truth for the fear of mistreatment, repercussions or losing their job. Management is "reactive", not proactive. If you would like to be constantly short staffed and treated as a number, then JHCC is the place to work! Don't worry about being professional either, swear like a trucker & wear what you want. Who needs to tell the difference between someone off the streets and staff anyway. Disgusting. What an EPIC failure. (Oh, also, you do know that is what your patients are calling this new software program right?) On a final note, I would never recommend for anyone to go to this hospital until issues and problems are addressed.

Juravinski Cancer centre was a nightmare for my family. Parking was ridiculous and having to drive long distance Monday thru Friday at rush hours were so stressful. Every department behind SCHEDULED appt times. Major major mistake by pharmacy not informing or supplying critical meds that were to be taken before radiation treatment delayed my husband’s treatment. Requests to change our treatment times DENIED told take what we r assigned, request to speak to our “team” oncologist by phone DENIED three different times. Patient was just a # not a person. My husband listened & agreed to the “teams” recommendations surgery, 30 chemo & radiation treatments being told 2-5 year survival rate…..less than 5 months 138 days from diagnosis to his death. I will NEVER return to Juravinski cancer centre ever again.

Had a appointment at 10 am and got their at 930, no 1 seem to know the doctor or were he was located, finally information told me but even though I had a appointment I still had to register at main entrance ,
That was a joke in itself, Hugh line up and only 1 person working, almost missed my appointment, return visits I we’ll arrive a hour early to get through all the pre visit red tape and BS

There was a time I had all the praise for JCC and JH. They helped my mom live for more than 3 years, but any good was wiped out from her last weeks. It was a nightmare repeated hospital visits because it was beside JCC, her drs were there. Neber saw them once. Bad reaction to meds the gave brings her back in. Released too soon. Home nurse not able to see someone has symptoms of infection. Nurses at JH that treat you like you’re nothing. Making you make the most difficult decision that was based on a lie. It has been a nightmare and should have never happened.
