Worst experience, not one staff member treated us without respect. My mothers been sick for 15 years, currently spent 5 months at Juravinski Hospital, she has a fractured hip and ankle. We were giving two mulipte appointment on a Friday at 10am and BOTH times we should up we were treated like completely dirty by the staff. We were told that we were making up our appointments as the doctor didn’t have clinic appointments on Friday event though we were sent letters in the mail confirming our appointment. After that experience a doctor finally came up to ODS in Juravinski to visit my mom which at that point told her she no longer needed her cast and was able to walk normal without any mobility device. After two days of doing this we were informed by our nurse practitioner that this was absolutely not the case she still needed the cast on but she could now wait bare. Today we received a call from a receptionist from the orthopaedic fracture clinic trying to give us another appointment on a Friday, after discussing our concerns and asking to be a schedule on a different day the receptionist told us she wasn’t going to reschedule us and then hung up on us. Not one single staff treated their patients with respect and I highly recommend NOT wasting your time with this clinic.

I was sent to the fracture clinic (Jurvinski) by my Doctor because I have OA, degenerative bone and labral tearss. I was told to bring someone and it can take 2.5 hours. My issue is so bad I can barely walk and I am in severe pain all day. The entire apt. took about 20 minutes. The physiotherapist looked at my MRI and X-rays and he said I was too young for surgery and I should try physio. He can’t write notes, prescribed meds, nothing really. I was told that my hip is so swollen they couldn’t get the dye in for the MRI but this guy thinks I’m ok to go on. So I am left with a Family Doctor that says I need surgery and a physiotherapist and that says no. I feel these clinics are a total waste of time and money. Not sure how knowledgeable these physiotherapists are . Off for a second opinion.
