My dad was taken to KDH via ambulance a very sick man who died a 2 weeks later of lymphoma. His stay left us traumatized of how heartless staff there can be. My mom was told by the operator he wasn't there and didn't know where he was. When someone called back there was no apology for causing her and dispatch to panic wondering where he went. Limited TV and landlines although they claim all rooms have them and they are free. My dad had a phone he could actually reach and use one day out of almost 2 weeks there. Dr Wanes treated him and my mom like shit with her not wanting to put in a little effort to let my mom know what was happening as we were having a hard time understanding him over the phone. He was having difficulties talking but that didn't matter they all but forced him ( oh and even gifted him with a phone after says of no contact) so he could try to tell her how his testing went at the Civic. Heartless is the only way I can describe a good number of people at this hospital. Went to visit and was disgusted how cluttered the hallway was. My dad's bed was close enough to hold hands with his roommate no wonder there is a one visitor per room policy. My family has used this hospital for years but we will not step foot in it after this. Stuff your "I'm sorry" in a sack and provide the documentation I want to know thongs will change. No one deserves the treatment my family got. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I would like to say that my experience at KDH was not as one would say satisfying or restful. I was given the wrong medications, NO PRIVACY and ignorant staff members. We all know that a nurse needs to do her job but to insult and make you feel uncomfortable when your recovering from surgery? No! I had to argue and then finally I said enough is enough and booked myself out of re-hab early because of the stupidity there!

Wonderful staff from the moment you enter, until you leave, reception , at emergency, nurses Mary-Pat, Polly,Sharon, Sanam, Hanifa student nurse…. , in surgery , doctors Jones and Kirby, both so personable , cleaning staff Robert, so warm and empathetic, cares about his job and people around him. And many more who’s names I cannot remember. They are thoughtful, and ready to help. The hospital is clean, the food is good. It is my second hip surgery and I am thankful I did not have to go to a big city hospital but that the doctors come to heal us, Dr Gofton from Civic in Ottawa. Bravo Kemptville hospital, hoping that management knows how great their employees are. 5 stars

I attended KDH for an Orthopeodic surgery and from the moment I walked in until I was discharged, I was in awe of this hospital. I was accustomed to the bigger hospitals in Ottawa and not used to the treatment and personalized service I received from all levels of staff working at KDM.
I would go back in a heart beat if ever I need another procedure.
And the bonus is that there’s no highway robbery happening at the parking booths either.
Overall, fantastic experience under the circumstances.

My Dad went in for a cut finger which took off his finger completely off. He got there at 8am and waited till 8pm to see a doctor. Terrible waiting times, just Terrible service. My dad said if he took a seizure then they would come running. For the serious problems should be taken care of first. They need more doctors not just 1 doctor. Terrible service.
